what extra (maybe slightly odd) things do you bring with you because you are driving and can bring extra stuff.

I was just thinking this time I'll bring my Keurig Machine then I was thinking I could also bring the girls Brookstone Baby Sound Machine.... :) they listen to it every night at home and while they have never asked for it while away why wouldn't they like to have it.

Being able to bring almost anything I want seems to be opening my eyes!! LOL!

We like to bring a Water Filtration pitcher and stuff to go to the beach for the day like Boogie boards and our beach umbrella!

I guess if I were going to drive a distance anywhere I would bring a really good cooler that really kept things cold for juices, milk and maybe cold cuts.

I would never consider bringing anything bulky like a microwave, George Foreman, or even a sandwich press as there are MANY reasonably priced places very close to Disney to grab a quick and easy meal.

We always take our sound machine. I find it hard to sleep without it.

We take a huge cooler with 90% of the food we need for the week.

We take two laptops.

Not sure of anything really odd we take, although we have considered taking a crock-pot.

BTW: We stay in a condo every time we go down.....none of this is for a hotel room.

we take special snacks just to eat in the car - chewing gum, beef jerky, pringles, etc., and a cooler with bottles of water, a few cans of dr. pepper, and some juice boxes.

Toaster, electric water heater (for tea), supply of bottled water and gatorade, cooler

I'm driving from New Orleans in a week for my birthday. I forgot about the Keurig. We are staying at a 1BR DVC so I don't need most other stuff, but I love my Keurig so I think we will pack it.

I've been using my Pontiac Vibe for the past year but recently got a lot of maintenance done on the Honda Odyssey (which only has 35,000 miles) so we will be taking it on the next trip which give us a lot more room.

We bring a flat of water bottles, a case of soft drinks, large cooler filled with fruit, celery sticks, sandwich materials, and milk, and a grocery bag filled with small snacks like PB crackers, granola bars, nuts, and dry cereal. That way we can have our breakfast in our room and fill our hip packs with mostly healthy snacks before we hit the parks. And when we get back to the room we can make a small sandwich if we're a little munchy. :thumbsup2

I LOVE travelling by car for the convenience of "If you think you might need it, throw it in the car". If I were driving to WDW I'd bring a cooler, a cotton throw for wearing in the car if the AC got too cold, big beach towels, bottled water, pool noodles so I wouldn't have to buy new ones evey time and then leave them there.

I bring frozen homemade meals that I can heat up in the food court microwave, Community Dark Roast coffee and Abita Amber beer :-)

Coffee maker & coffee, drinks, snacks, pillow pets, pillows, and if we travel during Christmas season, I always bring a small Christmas tree with lights :santa:

We bring our Keurig machine too. Disney coffee is horrid. :)

We also bring a tabletop fan because all of us are used to sleeping with a ceiling fan on.

Last year we brought a small fold up drying rack. Came in very handy!

Now that we are close enough to drive we bring water, sodas, snacks, I bring my pillow( I sleep so much better) I am going to be sad when we head back to WA and we have to fly again :sad1:

We bring our white noise machine. Can't sleep without it.

A cooler with a few water bottles and Diet Coke.

Bag of Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn.

A box of those jumbo Snyder's hard pretzels.

Granola bars.

Laptop.

Our SNUGGIES! Love having these, especially for lounging around the pool at night.

Our ipod loaded with WDW Radio Show podcasts.

I think my laptop is really the only thing I take while driving but not when flying.

My family really doesn't pack stuff just to pack it cause we can when we drive.

Coffeemaker (we stay at values)
mini fridge
body pillow
my bed pillows
