I'm on the border of going deluxe for the first time. I think I will be inclined to mix it up with 2 meal days to do some signature restaurants, but without a car I don't see doing a signature restaurant everyday. On the other days I feel compelled to do three meals to get my monies worth.

How do you feel?

We're blessed with having lots of kids on the plan, so we've got mostly 2 meals scheduled for our upcoming trip. Other days we're going to do CS with one or two sit down meals.

We're also lucky to be going in January, so if we're in the mood to sit down (or not), it'll be pretty easy for us to change our plans on the fly.

we did 2 sit downs a day and we had our son who turned 6 with us. He liked sitting down at the diffrent reasturants. We did do one signature also. we reallty like having 2 sit downs a day. Also we didnt feel like it really took any time away from the fun. Breakfast was at the resort food court, Lunch and supper were sit down.

We're probably unusual in the fact that we use DxDP precisely because we want to do 3 meals a day. Of course, a large part of that is that we have two autistic children, and keeping them on as much of a normal schedule as possible, even on vacation, helps everything else go smoother.

So we're not exactly your typical DxDP users...

I am doing the deluxe dining plan for the first time at the end of this month. I have made all of my reservations already and 3 meals a day is the majority for us. We only made one signature reservation as we do not feel that it is worth it to utilize 2 credits per restaurant. A majority of our ressies are for the character buffets for our 3 year old. I wrote a thread showing my ressies and was criticized for wanting to do 3 table services in a day. However, in my opinion, it is a waste of dining credits to use them for quick services unless you are on the quick service or regular dining plan.

We do all two meal days now. Three was just too much for us, time-wise, but we're not breakfast eaters to begin with so we're not accustomed to three meals a day even at home. Even without a car we do signature dinners almost every night - Epcot is really the only park where we eat dinner in the park, and it is easy enough to get to/from most of the signatures using Disney transportation (Jiko being the exception; next time we dine there we'll just call a cab to get back to our resort).

If you look at the numbers, you can easily get your money's worth even with a lot of two credit meals. We have 4 two-credit meals on our upcoming 5-night stay and my spreadsheet shows a savings of about $250 with the plan.

We will be doing 2 TS meals per day for our upcoming trip, including a couple of signature meals. The math works for signature meals on the deluxe plan -- with appetizers, a signature meal can easily run $70+, well worth 2 credits.

All of our TS adrs are for lunch and dinner. We will likely use our leftover credits for quick CS breakfasts on a few mornings. While CS is not a great use of deluxe credits, 3 TS meals per day would be a bit much in terms of time commitment and food quantity.

We did 3 TS meals per day and 1 signature dinner last trip. On our next trip, we will again do 3 TS meals per day and 4 signature dinners. We will arrive so late on our first night that we will not use any of our credits for that day and we plan to do a late breakfast and early dinner (thus skipping lunch) on our AK day so we'll have the extra credit for the 4th signature.

We will be using the Deluxe plan for the 2nd time on this year's trip. After doing 3 meals a day for most of the last trip we are going a different route this trip. We will be doing 2 meals a day, mostly lunch and dinner since we aren't big breakfast people. We will be having 3 signature meals.

My trip isn't until June and I'm already "too excited to sleep" :rotfl:

We do some 2 meal days and some 3 meal days. So, about half and half.

We did deluxe dining our first time in December.

We had some days w/ 2 meals & some w/ three. However, we aren't breakfast people & we never eat 3 meals a day at home so next time I'd schedule a few things differently. We did however, love the deluxe dining as we wanted to try lots of new places & some signatures.

Next time I'd schedule at the max one breakfast. I'd rather do rope drop than breakfast & our buses didn't run enough to get us there in time.

I'd schedule mostly early lunches & late signature meals or dinner shows. This is how we like to eat anyway. We had some credits left at the end of our week but still came out way ahead. I don't feel we wasted the credits as there is no way we could of eaten more. However, I'd pick up more signatures next time. We are a couple so the restaurants are a big part of the trip for us.
