When you close your eyes...

Well, I have 2 and since I can't choose just one (they're both Disney moments), I'll have to list both.
One is sitting on a bench in the UK in the early morning before WS opens (I came in via the International Gateway from BCV). I'm sitting drinking my coffee, listening to the WS music, watching families walk quickly towards FW, as I sit savoring the moment.
The other involves sitting also, sitting in a rocking chair outside Tony's in the MK, also in the early morning, right after MK opened. As I sit listening to the music, sipping my coffee, I watch all the excited families rush by, on their way to their first ride, maybe on their first trip. It's so much fun to just sit and watch all the excitement.

I'm there the minute we pull onto "Timberline Drive", underneath the great archway and up to the portico at the WL. The ranger uniforms, the "woosh" of the doors, the cool, uniquely scented air, the rustic music...We've arrived home!

There are alot of these for our family...

Seeing the big entrance sign for the WDW Resort.

Seeing the big entrance sign for the WL.

Motoring around Bay Lake on a watermouse.

Smoking a cigar on the balcony in the evening calm.

Sipping coffee on the balcony at dawn.

Watching fireworks from any of the decks at the CR.

Shopping at the CR (don't know why, but this is one of our favorite souvenir spots)

Rumbling around that last turn on TT and seeing the sign posting our speed.

Kicking DW's butt on Buzz Lightyear (hasn't happened yet, but hey, Disney is all about dreams)

I forgot to menton the excitement when Mk turns down the lighst for the Spectromagic parade and the music starts playing... I don't know why, but I love these parades. I feel liek a kid when I spot the first float coming around. And can you imagie how our kids feel? It is probbaly one the the coolest looking things to them.

...and crossing the FL state line. We drive from NC. When we do that we know it's just a couple more hours until the fun.

...I always think of our first trip to WDW when we moved here from Florida. DD was four, and we crossed the state line at about midnight. She'd been sleeping in the back seat, and when we woke her up to tell her we were in FL, she screamed, "WE MADE IT!!!"

I can't decide if it's when I cross under the WDW arch on the main road, the first time I see one of the big attractions (ToT, EPCOT's geodesic sphere, etc.) peeking over the tops of the trees, or when I walk up to the registration desk and hear, "Welcome home!"

Slightly OT - can someone send me a PM and tell me how to set up one of those countdown counters? I'd like one since my reservations for next year are now set. Thanks!!

Walking into the lobby of WL and hearing the music. Whenever they play the movie Last of the Mohicans on tv, I always think of home.

Also, funny enough, the smell of smoked salmon. After we got married at WL, they accidentally placed the top of my wedding cake in the wrong freezer and when they finally found it as we were leaving, the packaging wrapped around the box smelled like the salmon it had been next to in the freezer (box and cake were fine). At the time it was a little upsetting, but we still laugh at it now. <Picture the new bride walking through airport carrying cake box that smells like fish>
