When you close your eyes...

Boy, now I'm really glad we bought into SSR, if yesdisneyfool is driving around OKW with closed eyes!;)

Oh I see the Boardwalk, the Beach Club, the excitment in my childs eyes when we walk into Magic Kingdom. I just love the feeling that comes over me when I'm here. It is just so relaxing.

My friends think I have lost my mind, my computer desktop picture is a wonderful picture of the Beach Club villas at night. My cell phone ringer is Bear Neccessities. I surfed the web all the time reading this discussion board and checking out other Disney stuff.

I just can't wait till the next time home - May 2004!

I guess the expression on my boy's faces when the music started up on the mk train.

....Main Street, and the yummy vanilla, ice cream cone smell..."yes, take our picture!"....lobby at the Polynesian, the water, the music, Hawaii in under four hours!...Main gate, Welcome to WDW sign....arriving at B-side terminal...and seeing (and shopping) at the Disney store in the airport (our first trip, the kids thought that the Store was WDW:D ....were they surprised!;) )

...and a cast member saying..."give me four!"...because we can't forget, it was all started by a mouse!

There are so many dreams... Just last night I was dreaming about Illuminations on the 4th of July sitting on the balcony at Rose & Crown. MAGICAL!

The anticipation of seeing the DisneyWorld sign for the first time on our trip, is another one.

Oh and walking to our PS at Cinderalla's Royal Table early in the morning before the parks opened and seeing Mickey and Minnie standing together in front of the castle. Priceless!

Thanks for the dreams today!

LOL and holding my stomach.

DrTomorrow I can see (no pun here) that it looks like I'm driving but my DW always drives to Disney. BTW, we've made so many times to OKW that our car might be able to find it's way. Thanks for noticing my funny. LOL

DH says his "Disney Moment" is walking to the huge fountain at Epcot and the climatic music in the background the fountain is choreographed to and the loud crack the water makes as if almost a finale.

My "Disney Moment" is walking through the turnstyle and stepping out onto Main Street. The emotion is almost overwhelming. The smells, the look of the pavement, the sight of the Castle.

Also, as a side note, I love the different music in the different "lands" I find it amazing how you can walk from one land to the other and the music just flows and if you're not paying attention to it, you don't even realize that you're not hearing frontier music in Liberty Square.

I close my eyes and I'm floating on the Lazy River at Typhoon Lagoon, around, and around, and around. I can spend hours there.

Thanks for humoring me everyone! I started this post because I was feeling kind of "blue" and sometimes the best thing to turn a blah day around is to dream of Disney. And I always find it interesting that when I think of being "home" there is always a certain spot or spots that I automatically think of first.

It's neat to see I'm not the only one.

And it is really fun to see what everyone's own "magical" vision is!!!

And it all started with a dream (& a mouse)... Isn't that incredible?

Keep em' coming!

We were lucky to get to WDW for New Year's one year. My favorite Disney memory is from New Year's Eve afternoon when DH & I spent an enjoyable and relaxing hour sitting in the rose gardens of France & having a lovely glass of red wine. It was really unreal - watching everyone else rushing to get here or there.

To get thru the long periods when I'm away from my VWL home,
I read Disney message boards, listen to Disney radio & go Disney shopping on ebay

My Daydreams is.....
The boat ride over to MK early in the morning before the park opens. We are let in the park before it opens because we have PS at Crystal Palace. We see Mickey up ahead as we stroll down an empty Main Street. But the momment I know I'm home is when I take the first bite of my Crystal Palace FRENCH TOAST! Actually before the first bite I take pictures to make family jealous! Hmmmm. I'm missing WDW

I always see the same place, the UK in Epcot. Maybe because we usually stay at BCV, and enter through the World Showcase. I can clearly see the flower garden, the Rose & Crown, the Mary Poppins topiary, and the red phone booth. Sometimes, I can even smell the fish & chips! Of course, in my fantasy, it's always lovely March weather. Aaahhh, Home! Diana

For me, it's got to be entering Epcot, that early morning awe as you grace its hallowed grounds. The serenity of the music, in harmony with the water, and the enormity of all that's around you, such as Spaceship earth, just evokes a certain reverence that makes me feel like I should walk slowly and speak in hushed tones! EPCOT is just "it" for me -- from that entrance in all its morning glory to the splendor of Illuminations at night (with funnel cake and beverage in hand!) And don't even mention the fact that "True Colors" makes me cry and want to photograph the daylights outta my kids and family!

As for dh, his Disney Dream vision is entering via Fast Pass to the ride of his choice... (he loves that inexplicable feeling of power that comes as one glides past the poor, uninformed huddled masses in that "other" line!) His rides of choice: RNR, TOT, SM, SplashM, BTMRR, TestT, Dino, Kali -- he's a Disney Thrill Seeker, what can I say.

And as for the kids -- well, their excitement ignites the minute we pack the car! It continues to multiply exponentially over the next 48 hrs as we weave our way southeastward. Their landmark visions are (a) the hotel we stay in on the way, (b) stopping at the Florida reststop for our free juice, (c) the WDW billboards on I4, and culminating with (d) entering through the WDW arch! From that point forward, our stay is a pure adrenaline blur to them (fueled by everything they see and eat!)

So give me the tranquility, give dh the thrills, and give the kids a Mickey Mouse Ice Cream bar -- and we're there!!!

Walking over the bridge from BCV to the International Gateway....noone else around b/c it's early....the bushes are playing music...the sun is shinning.......I love that feeling!!!!

OH, I thought you said smiley Bushes *Someday I'll grow up, but right now I'm having just too much fun."

My ultimate disney moment was the first time we stayed at the Polly and looked across the lake and saw how close and beautiful Cinderellas Castle was.

Ultimate disney moment 2 - at our first stay at OKW, when I opened the door to our 2 br suite and really realized we did own a piece of the magic.

other disney moments:
any monorail ride
any trumbo canal boat ride
illuminations
eating in WDW

We our going to Hawaii next year and may skip WDW for the first time since 1989. If we do skip WDW I will have to rely on my disney memories to get me by until 2005.

Whenever I think of WDW, my first thought is always of VWL, and the great theming, the main lobby.

I'm sure this would be one of Walt's favorite resorts.

It's just after Illuminations has finished and my family turns to each other and says "Goosebumps". (OK it's a little wierd but we're Irish.)

My favorite thought is wakeing up in the morning an sitting on the balcony at OKW watching the ducks. Planning the day with relatives in the bright sun. Oh how pleasant :sunny:
