When you bake cookies,

I used to until the whole salmonella/raw egg thing. Now I just eat the butter and sugar,

I figure I have eaten it all my life and it hasn't killed me yet! I freeze individual cookie size balls of dough just to eat raw! Bad mommy!

During basketball season I make quadruple batches of chocolate chip for each road trip. There are ALWAYS cookies around here in the winter. DS's are always sneaking spoonfulls of dough to "test" it.

I allow myself 1-2 cookies worth of dough and then I make sure to eat a cookie FRESH out of the oven

Or maybe two

Oh, and then I'll eat whatever the leftover non-scraped up bits were there in the bowl after all cookies were baked.

Dh does the baking in our house but I do steal cookie dough, a big spoonful is about all I can get before he gets mad . I only like chocolate chip cookie dough though, nothing else. I have been eating cookie dough all my life and have never gotten food poisoning from it.

Oh my gosh funny you should mention this. I just baked some chocolate chip cookies and ended up eating about a half dozen and I said to myself "don't eat the cookies". But...didn't work. Mmmm, yummo !
