When would you go?

My two cents. I used to be too concerned about crowds, but I came to draw a few conclusions.
1. When the park is busy they gear up for it. They have more CM's working, they have more characters, parades, etc..., they run more ride vehicles, rides are less likely to be in refurb, they are open later, they are less likely to have ticketed events, they have fireworks every night...
2. Genie+ works. I went during the Christmas season and on New Year's Eve and had a great time both days because of Genie+ and we didn't even strategize.

I think those are all great choices.

May might be the Goldilocks of weather and crowds if you don’t mind the Star Wars stuff.

Thanks for all of the replies. We are going in May, and I planned a back up trip for June. Hopefully one of them actually works out! I will try to get Star Wars nite tickets, which will make it even better
