When worlds collide~the original flats meet in 4D!!

Ask your MIL if she's hiding Osama bin Laden in her purse.

I've done grocery cart racing, but never wheelchair....
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
I just laughed so loud I think I might have scared the poop out of d.jay..:rotfl2:

I've had grocery cart races too....you have to be creative when you're a teen in a small town.

Abandoned wheel chairs on Main Street after Disneyland closed for the night... That's all I'm saying ;)
:rotfl2:

HA! I remember security collecting all of them....did stroller CMs also come out? I don't remember....

Yea, some did. But if we found them as we were leaving, we'd race them down Main Street and jump out and walk them under the bridge to strollers acting as if we'd done nothing wrong but were just being nice. :littleangel:
Most of the time, security left us alone too because there were no guests. But every once in a while you got one with a stick up their butt

Security..OY! As managers, when we were training we got to do a day of "fox" unit training (undercover). So interesting and intense. Didn't take long to find people shoplifting. Also had to see a guy on PCP....crazy!

Holy moly... Now wishing I had gone into security instead of store ops! Sounds like some fun to be had!

I remember watching all those training videos at Disney U. on the scammers who would rip off cashiers with money changing ploys and other kinds of nonsense. They gave us a quiz after the videos to see if we could spot and find the value of the ripoffs, but I never could. :sad2: I can't believe how dense I was in my college days, but then again those ripoff artists are VERY good at what they do.

Hurray for two weeks! Don't feel too guilty about leaving Ethan -- how many years has it been since you and d.jay went on vacation without the kids?

I think it's been 4 years...I can't believe it's been that long!

How wonderful that you guys are going to get a trip alone! The last time Chuck and I even had one overnight alone was when Sully (our 9 year old) was a baby. Maybe we'll plan something big for our 15th anniversary.

Cherie, shame on you! That's far too long for a couples getaway!! I"m so glad you have this chance to be doing something fun for just the two of you!!!

yes, you should!
When does Chuck get home and when is your 15th anniversary?

the hardest part is finding someone to watch the kids, but I've been blessed with friends and even MIL who help out.

I know and it's my fault...the whole leaving the kids thing. We were sopposed to go on a big alone trip every other year but then, we had to have a re-do of our family trip, then last year we took MIL.....

2 years ago we did go to Victoria, B.C. for 2 days, I guess that counts.

Chuck gets home sometime this summer. We just celebrated our 10th this year so it'll be a while.

That is most definitely the hardest part. Not living near family makes it hard. We were going to have my parents come down and watch the boys for our 10th, but we ended up doing a family trip to Disney instead. :rolleyes1

oh, wow! I didn't realize he would be gone that long! I don't know how you do it.:worship:

You need a vacation when he gets back, forget waiting for your 15th. Heck, you'll probably need a vacation all by yourself.

Every once in awhile something will happen that makes me think I really should get out of the house more often...actually I'd love to get out more, but I seem to be chained to the washer and dryer...

My first thought when I woke up this morning was.. I get my other shoe back from the cobbler! I'm anxious to see how it turns out and to see if my little tootsies will be comfortable.
I had visions of me running and leaping through meadows of wild flowers while a harp played heavenly music......and then I was brought back to reality with the sound of a saw and drilling.

Every year or every other year is a great concept for a couples trip. We have visions of every 2-3 years for a big trip but saving for them is brutal, our family trips eat up all our travel budget and we both struggle with a big trip for us at the expense of everyone else?

So we've settled for short couples trips for now. We hope to start saving after the August trip for a big one but we will see how that goes!

I SO wish I was going with you guys. I'd like to just go sit on main street for a couple of hours, running over to the espresso place in fantasy land for refueling, drinking a doppio with a ton of sugar and just

BREATHE

What did you try at the Wave?
I had the lettuce lamb wrap things for appie and then I ended up with a burger for main as I didn't like anything else :rotfl2: Maybe I'm picky but everyone agreed it wsn't that good!

The first ever just D.Jay and I trip alone Ethan was about 4. He cried when we left and then I cried the entire 3 hour drive to seattle. Poor D.Jay , I think he was tempted to leave me at the rest stop.
Awwww bless and kids are always fine they just like to make us feel bad :rotfl2:

About 30 minutes ago d.Jay left with Hunter to take him to the er. Hunter fell and whacked his shin on his beds metal frame. He was crying like I've never seen him and couldn't put any walk on it.
Hope he's OK!

Doesn't that sound blissful!!?? Ummm.... Cynth you can still think about Sept. I mean you ARE, right??

Hope he's OK!

How did I miss this??!! How is he doing??

DH and I would LOVE to do a couples only trip...but I don't think that'll be happening...ever. :( We'll see though.

How's Hunter, by the way? That wacking of the shin sounded painful!
