When will your Christmas tree go up?

A week or maybe 10 days prior to Christmas Day is when we usually put up our tree. I'll so a bit of decorating inside & out over Thanksgiving weekend though.
I'm not feeling to Christmasy this year, I'm hoping that mood passes before December!

I usually refuse to put up any Christmas decor before December 1. But honestly I’d rather skip Christmas decor altogether and just have extra-long Halloween. Maybe I’ll just do that this year. I mean it’s 2020 and there are no rules anymore. 🤣
I feel the same way about Christmas, I don't like to rush it and it doesn't feel as special when it's more than a months long celebration. I am definitely not feeling it this season. I said to my husband a few days ago that I'm not putting up the decorations this year, no Christmas trees, no lights even. He just said "uh huh, sure" :rolleyes1 I'm digging my heels in though, it's just too much work. Maybe I need take this year off from the holidays. I will still listen to Christmas music though, love that!

Don't blame you! We gave up on outside lights a few years ago, just got a couple of those lasers you set up (including Mickey head ones). I don't care if I'm considered lazy, those lasers are completely worth it and they look really nice!

It's only DH & I and we plan on being out of town for Christmas this year anyway *fingers crossed*, so I think I'm feeling the decorating part of the holiday even less than normal. I'll put the tree up, but that might be the extent of it this year!

Usually day after Thanksgiving. DH has forbidden me from doing it any earlier. I think I may be able to talk him into agreeing to a week or two earlier this year though. We'll see. And it stays up until the middle of January.

Somewhere around the 1st or 2nd week of December and stays up until Jan. 1. I use a white artificial tree and actually store it in my basement with the lights still on it. It's in my exercise room and sometimes when I'm exercising I turn the lights on because who doesn't like to exercise to Christmas lights. I keep a small table top one up all year round upstairs in my woman cave. It's a tradition from my Mama. She decorated every room in the house and would always miss one something every year when she took everything down. The tree is one of hers with her decorations on it.

I don’t really know when we’ll put the tree up this year. Used to place the ornaments in the L/R and DGD’s bedroom trees last on Christmas Eve. The other rooms’ decorations were completed between T-Day weekend and the 3rd weekend of December. Decor stayed up until at least the Epiphany.

Now that we live in a smaller space only one room is decorated, the artificial tree is put away almost fully decorated (bubble wrap is yr friend), and I put it up and take it down when I feel like it.

When we put up a tree (we haven't the past few years) we put it up right after Thanksgiving. This year we put the tree up a few days ago. Yes, in October. DD is coming home for a few days next week. She isn't allowed time off during the holidays and we aren't traveling there this year so we're having Christmas in October.

December 15th. And it stays up until the epiphany, January 6th.
Late by many people's standards I guess. But my mom says it was common where she lived as a kid for "Santa" to bring the tree on Christmas Eve, so even later that what we do now.

When my dad was a kid, Santa both brought & decorated the tree overnight Christmas eve. When I was a kid, we got to decorate the tree, but it only went up on Christmas Eve late afternoon/early evening. Always a live tree.
My husband grew up with artificial trees and they always went up Thanksgiving afternoon. We have compromised with both artificial and live trees over the past 27 years, and put the tree up about a week prior to Christmas day, maybe 10 days prior but that is pushing it.

Tree goes up day after Thanksgiving and comes down after little Christmas is over. I used to not have a time frame but having kids its good to have a schedule.
