When will we be able to book the magic in 2004?

You can already book for the first part of 2004. We are booked for the 2nd week in March 2004.

The rest of the year is not open yet and Disney is not giving a time table. There are two rumors that are going around about a new boat and about the Magic going to Med. for a little bit. So it is the wait and see what Disney does mode we are all in right now :)

We decided to book another spring break cruise for 3/04 so we have two rooms reserved. We won't get the final word on which week will be our school's spring break week until January. The good news is that we were on a wait list for a cat. 3 the first week we reserved and we just got the cat. 3! We have a cat. 3 for the second week, now we just need to know which week we are going. Will it be a western or an eastern? time will only tell. Kathy

Hi Larry,

Missed you on the Wonder, I hope you had as good of trip as we did. GS loved the Clubs. Spent alot of time there.

Anyway, we rebooked a Western cruise while onboard for April 10, 2004 in order to get the $200 in room credit.

Why don't you join us. We'll make it a repeat Wonder cruise.

Hi Larry and Kenny!

Glad to hear you both had a blast on the 10/13 Wonder cruise. We just got back from WDW Sunday -- stayed on at WDW for another 10 days after the cruise. But wouldn't you know it. When asked what was the best part of the trip, my kids immediately replied -- the cruise!

My kids (6 and 8) loved the Kids Club -- they both were teamed up with their cousins so they had someone to go to the clubs with. The last day they insisted on staying for 8 hours straight until we picked them up for Disney Dreams.

On the first night, my husband got a little seasick, so went to bed after the Hercules show -- I went on to Wavebands with my sister and husband for 70s night (kids were of course in their favority place - the kids clubs) -- got picked as a contestant for the Gloria Gaynor lip synch dance contest. The rest of the cruise, my husband was wondering why strangers were coming up to me calling me Gloria.

My sister and I are also thinking of when we should take our families on a 7 day Disney cruise. To avoid the homework on the trip ordeal and disapproving looks from teachers, we were considering early summer 2004.

Aloha!

Hawaiiangirl,

Gloria, so that was you. I think you won a bunch of times at bingo also.

As far as booking for 2004, we have the same problem, first we already have our plans for 2003 at WDW so 2004 was pretty empty. My GS will by then be in 7th grade so really don't want to take him out of classes, even though he's like at the head of his class and in a private school. Not a good practice to start so we booked during the spring easter break April 10th, 2004.

Since DCL hasn't decided yet for later on in 2004 for the Magic and I wanted to do the Western we booked on the ship to get the 200 dollar credit.

Maybe we'll see you on that cruise.

Here's the "official" form letter response from DCL:

"Thank you for your e-mail.

Unfortunately, as you know, the dates you requested are not yet available in our reservation system for the Disney Magic. We're currently accepting reservations through April 2004. Typically, reservations become available approximately two years in advance when our new year's rates are determined. Please contact your local travel agent or our reservations department at 407-566-7000 or 1-800-511-1333 for further assistance.

We look forward to the chance to sail with you.

Sincerely,

Tracey, Guest Communications

Thanks for your response. Along the lines of what you told me, when will the bookings for the 7 day cruises be available for summer & fall of 2004? The 3 & 4 day Wonder sailings are already listed.

Kenny and Hawaiian Girl -

We did have an awesome time! We definitely want to do a 7 day next time and think maybe we will do fall 2004 (girls will be 6 & 8 - so won't feel too guilty about yanking them out of school). We may even take the MIL and invite my parents too. I am just too anxious to hear what DCL will be doing with the Magic after April 2004!

tstobb -

Looks like you got the standard "run around" regarding when will the rest of 2004 become available. Not surprising - something is up their sleeve, I suspect. :smooth:
