When will they start taking ressies for Kidani?

They can't take reservations until they know for sure when they will open. A lot of things can happen to delay construction. Better to wait than have to cancel a few hundred families vacations if there is a construction delay.

This makes sense.

So it is likely that the 1st ressies will be within the 7 month window.
Do you think they will allow some time for the home resort people to book 1st?

And when they say it will open spring of 09....does that mean like 1 building or is it finished. And if it is not finished....do they have an idea when all construction will be over?

Right now signs are pointing toward a May 1, 2009 opening. So they still have a couple of weeks before the 11-month window arrives.

Realistically, as long as they start taking reservations before 7 months, owners will have received a priority booking period. If, for some reason, they are unable to start taking reservations before 7 months, I suspect they'll give owners a special 1-2 week window to book Kidani before other members.

Even if they start taking reservations within the seven month window, there will be a priority period for AKV owners. It may not be a 4 month priority window, though.

We bought at AKV2 last week. My guide told me that reservations for Kidani "should" start at the end of July or beginning of August.

Does anyone know if Kidani will be completed by next year....or is this the 1st phase. Do they have an estimated finish day?

the finish date is 2010 - but they are WAY ahead of schedule. So it might be done in 2009.

when they get to the main building (where the front desk and restuarants are) that is when they will open part of it.

the other part will be opened later.

MS generally does not take reservations until the building is open - or they didn't. because of unexpected delays.

but you knew I think they did with AKV.... so maybe I am wrong.

I've heard two different stories...My guide said July, MS said I could make ressies at 11 months for next summer.

To me that is a biiiiig difference. I want to go June 8th next year for 4 nights. I'd lke the first two to be concierge. Unless I have the exact same booking window as everyone else, it won't happen.

I plan on at least trying to call day by day at 0900 sharp...We'll see if it works.
