When will The Unofficial Guide 2006 come out?

Sorry, I can't help you on that. I buy a new UG every 2 to 3 years. My reasoning is things don't change that drastically every year. So between the 2003 and 2006, yes there are great differences.

Okay, here's the latest:

The 2006 edition is available at Frommers, with a 1-2 shipping delay.

Amazon is shipping in 3-5 weeks.

No news from Barnes & Noble's yet, but I hear it's not in their warehouse as of yesterday.

According to Amazon, my pre-ordered copy was scanned for pickup by UPS on Friday night, and they are shipping it Second Day, so with the holiday, I expect it to arrive on Thursday at the latest. Of course, I accidentally had it sent to dh's office, so we'll see if he remembers to bring it home that same day.

I picked up mine today at Barnes and Noble in Danbury, CT. Scanning it quickly alot is the same but it is different. It has a different look (alot of blue text) and many of the "Behind the Scenes" are new and interesting. Plus, MYW, Magical Express, Dinning Plan and the new attractions are all reviewed.

There should be 80 to 100 pages of new information in each edition, on average. I think Amazon is filling pre-orders first, as current orders are getting the "Ships in 3-5 weeks" status on the main web page.

I'm curious to see how the new layout and color scheme look. Hopefully mine'll be here tomorrow.

Will the 2006 UG be available anywhere in the vicinity of WDW? We are leaving from South Africa on the 27/9 and have no chance to have it delivered before that by amazon.

I picked up my 2006 unofficial guide on 9/5/05 at Barnes and Noble, in Manchester, CT.

The local Borders did not have it yet.

It looks great!!
