When will the 2042 contracts of BCV and BWV decrease in value?

Is there a reason you are using Standard view at Boardwalk but not Value at AKV?

Yes - because, in my experience, I NEVER can get Value at AKV. (Not for 3 Days, much less 3 weeks). But, I've had success at BWV-Std View...
My comparisons are based on our actual travel patterns over the last several years. & Our addonitis at BWV was just done in 2023.

I’m not far off at 60 and it still wouldn’t make sense given we have adult children who still love to go.

Now, if the price right now was $50/point, it could become interesting.

However, if it is really where someone wants to stay, price is not as important.

My adult children still love to go too, I get leaving it to them. I added their names to the contracts this year just in case...you know! We're Canadian, so inheriting property in the U.S. would be more complicated. If they want points beyond 2042 expiration, they know where to find them, and they can both afford them.

would also add to factor in the value of being able to book your vacation/control dates, esp for the type A's who like to book at 11 months, lol. A friend had to change from her planned beach club to a different location given the lack of available points to rent-there is value to having control over location/date. Not an obscene amount, but many of us would pay for that control.

Yes. But not enough to really elevate the price significantly above rental. If I told you that you could rent points for $5,000, using a professional service to book the reservation… or you could book it yourself for $8,000… you’re not going to have an overwhelming number of people willing to pay thousands extra for a tiny bit more direct control.

And to the extent a few people are willing to pay a few dollars extra to own…
That’s offset by far more people willing to pay extra to rent (pay extra to have the flexibility to pay as you go, instead of pre-paying and committing to a bunch of years).

So balanced out, I can’t imagine re-sale prices being sustained at a level higher than rental.
