This seems to be everyone's favorite quote post. However, unlike above, it is the assumption I would take issue with. SSR has a point structure higher than OKW though neither is located near a park. SSR is generally less than the park DVC's. Animal Kingdom brought a whole new direction of how DVC does points. For most of its rooms (savanna view which will be 80% of all rooms) and except for January when it is the same, its point cost is higher than BCV, BWV and VWL It thus is not located at a park but received the highest point structure yet for 80% of its rooms. It does have animals and a uniqueness.
CRV, if it ever comes into being, is, by my best quesstimate, going to be higher in points needed for a room than AKV savanna view. I believe a conservative estimate is that cost per night may be 5% to 10% higher as it will be touted as the first monorail/MK resort. Moreover, if announced while AKV is still selling, they will raise the price per point by $7 or more but actually keep AKV close to its price at the time by simply raising the incentive per point to keep it there, and offer only a small incentive on CRV and see how it flies.
I think you are absolutely correct with those assumptions. I think the cost of CRV, should it come to pass, will be higher per point and also higher per stay. I do expect there will be more than one room catagory though too. I can't see how a view of the waterway will be as much as a view of the castle.
and given a choice between the three it would definitely be the chosen one!
