CalendarAre we using Calendar Year, or Disney's Fiscal Year?

CalendarAre we using Calendar Year, or Disney's Fiscal Year?
So it is close enough to Riv for an expansion to make sense? I thought you had to travel there by skyliner? Im Def going to check it out when we go!Yes, it is. We walked around most of it when we stayed at Riviera. They could easily take some or all of CB and expand RIV - Aruba would be most likely given it is not the āpreferredā section closest to CBās main pool and restaurants, although the Martinique section is similarly close. I think there is a pretty good stretch of land south of Jamaica and across from Trinidad where maybe something could be done with (maybe they expand CB there if they did away with Aruba).
A lot of people are hoping for that, myself includedMy guess is late next year/early 2027.
I can help them to sell it out earlier if they offer good incentives![]()
CB essentially has 2 Skyliner stops - one that it shares with RIV and where you would board to go to Epcot or to the other CB Skyliner stop. That is just north of the Aruba section. Then, there is another Skyliner stop in CB where you transfer to go to HS or to 2 of the value resorts (I forget which two they are) - that stop is south of the Jamaica section which is south of the Aruba sections. There are three other CB sections on the other side of the lake/water - Martinique, Barbados, and Trinidad. So it is close enough to Riv for an expansion to make sense? Oh wow so you can walk from Riv to CBR and its not too far?CB essentially has 2 Skyliner stops - one that it shares with RIV and where you would board to go to Epcot or to the other CB Skyliner stop. Then I will take Q3, and probably earlier rather than later in the quarter.Calendar![]()
Oh yeah. We actually had dinner at CBās quick serve restaurant while we were there. 10 minute walk max. They also have a little kids playground on an island my kids enjoyed. All additional reasons that made RIV an easy sell for us!Oh wow so you can walk from Riv to CBR and its not too far?
I did calendar year as I'm sure not many of us know what Disney's FYE is. I know they are off cycle (not 12/31).Are we using Calendar Year, or Disney's Fiscal Year?
Hereās a satellite map. The land on which RIV sits was formerly part of CBR - Disney tore down multiple CBR buildings to build RIV.Oh wow so you can walk from Riv to CBR and its not too far?
Im not smart enough to even think to do it that way, I just figured out how to post a pollI did calendar year as I'm sure not many of us know what Disney's FYE is. I know they are off cycle (not 12/31).
Was the food good? Im interested in eating at Sebastians and trying that famous dessert. Have been on a major diet for all the damage I plan to do at these WDW tripsOh yeah. From what I recall, it was good - I think one of my kids had a mild meltdown and had to be taken back to our room, so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but what I remember is good. I think I did grab a cupcake and take it back to our hotel, and I do remember that, and it was enjoyableWas the food good? Im interested in eating at Sebastians and trying that famous dessert. Interesting, I wonder if eventually they just tear the whole thing and make a huge riv with an internal bus like SSRHereās a satellite map. The land on which RIV sits was formerly part of CBR - Disney tore down multiple CBR buildings to build RIV.
Also note how close RIV is to Epcot. Thatās why many hope that someday Disney will build another entrance to World Showcase, along with a safe way to cross Buena Vista Dr. there (I think it would require a pedestrian bridge like they have at Disney Springs).
Im envisioning a whole Riv expansion where the different buildings are renamed Monaco, Cannes etcFrom what I recall, it was good - I think one of my kids had a mild meltdown and had to be taken back to our room, so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but what I remember is good. I think I did grab a cupcake and take it back to our hotel, and I do remember that, and it was enjoyable. Sebastian's is on our to do list too.
Perhaps a gondola ride for transportation instead of a shuttle, make it a whole island to island themeIm envisioning a whole Riv expansion where the different buildings are renamed Monaco, Cannes etci t I ink they can keep that CBR pool or easily retheme it with minor changes
I always thought they would do a world of Showcase with CBR. Each new DVC building would be a different region/country in Europe. Would be seperate DVC resorts not expansion of Riviera though. My crazy curve ball, they will expand Riviera into Aruba..... Add a new Villa type or two, a solid pool with a lazy river or something awesome, and sell a few million points. Last time we stayed there 80% of the people on the bus at the end of the night were CBR/Aruba people who said they got in the Riviera bus line as it was way shorter and closer than CBR's busses. Might as well make it official![]()
Wowser, sign me up.
Will you be able to swim all the way to Epcot?
