When will Pleasure Island rehab be finished?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times. Wondering what exactly they are doing there, and when it will be done. Thinking of going in February.

Has anyone been to Disney Lately? DH and I are going next week and was wondering if anything has been finished yet at Pleasure Island.

We were on PI last Saturday. There is no place to eat right now on PI. So if you want anything -- even a snack, eat before going in. (Only food we saw was popcorn at the Comedy Warehouse.) The brightside is we grabbed a few pretzels at Wetzel's Pretzels between CW shows. Wow! Those are DELISH!
PI looks a little more cleaned up than before. But obviously a work still in progress. The new bridge that replaced the West Side sound stage is in use. The sidewalk has a facelift even.
We also noticed machines that guests can buy tickets from. We did not check them out. But it would be interesting to hear how that works for guests. I would think any discount rates (AP) would still need to go to a ticket window. :confused3
The place was dead last Saturday. I don't know if the colder temps kept people away. We just sat through the first two CW shows. The first was the fewest amount of guests I have ever seen in one of their shows!
But -- I think they started seating and their show a tad earlier. There was no sign with seating times. And we thought 8:15 was the first seating. We were seated around 10 - 15 minutes before 8 I think.

Luv2Roam, isn't Raglan Road open? The food there is great!

Its so depressing now. I remember there being so many people, and being able to get drinks anywhere, and music playing.

And now its empty, boring, no drinks etc. :guilty:

I keep reading rumors that PI is closing... that's not a part of the rehab you're talking about, is it? I'd assumed when the rehab is done, everything will be open again?

That is true. RR is open. Just usually not in the mood for a sit down meal by the time we go to PI. Other than that -- a few places to buy adult beverages and that is it.
There are a lot of empty stores that look half way through a remodeling process. It will be interesting to see what goes in.
There is still a VJ playing music. There have been weekends we have seen stilt performers.
But overall a different world with strollers, toddlers, children mixed in with the adults in the bars, not much going on outside the clubs, and a desserted construction look. I hope they at least bring back the huge Jessica!! :dance3:

I'm hoping that PI is fixed up enough to have St. Patrick's Day there! :shamrock: :rockband: party: :drinking1 :cool1:  :drinking1 :drinking:

Hi there. Sorry, I'm out of the loop with PI. Is there still a separate admission charge to get into PI? Did I read somewhere that it would be opened to the general public? Apparently, there is no longer an age restriction.

Anyone can walk around PI. We don'thave kids and use our WDW PAPs. So I am really not familiar with who can go where and what the cost is.
I think anyone can go into The Adventurer's Club until 9 p.m. After that the guests have to pay.
