When will I hear from my planner?

I sent my contract back in over three weeks ago, and they have cashed the check, but I haven't heard anything from anyone since. I also sent my address lists for the STD's to go out. How long will it be until I am assigned a planner and hear from them? I thought once I hit 12 months everything would start rolling but I am now almost at 10 months out and I haven't even talked to anyone since? Is this normal?

I'm sure you will hear from someone soon. My consultant told me once we sign the contract and send it back in it would take 2 weeks to hear from a planner. I would give it another week and if you haven't heard anything, maybe just give them a call.

it takes a while. thats the underlying theme around here anyway!!

however, kind of makes me think maybe, just maybe, you have karen heyn, who is my planner and is on vacation till the end of this week. i think.

just a thought, try not to worry. as you check out all the stuff on this forum (which, like i did, i know you are! ), you will see that EVERYONE feels the same frustrations now and again. we had our PS, but i anticipate a long long wait before i get any further in the actual planning process...

Thanks for asking this! I'm sending my contract in on Saturday and I'm already anxious! lol I feel like this whole process is a lot of hurry up and wait if you know what I mean...but honestly these people plan a thousand of these a year and with the progress I've made so far planning thing that i'm not using Disney for, I'm realizing more and more that it doesn't take a year to plan a wedding so I'm sure everything will be fine.

When I sent my contract in I received an email about a week later letting me know they received it and processed the deposit. 1 week after that I got a call from my Consultant letting me know that we were in a holding pattern until Sept (which is 1yr before my wedding) to get my planner however she would start the STD.

I would probably give them a call just to make sure they received it and everything is ok. That way you can relax knowing it is being taken care of and they could let you know if your planner is on vacation or why you haven't heard from them.
