When will holiday decorations come down?

We will be checking in on 1/2 around 5 or 6pm with an ADR at Boma that night. I'd like to see the Gingerbread house at Grand Floridian and the carousel at Beach Club too. Will they still be decorated or will everything have started coming down already?

Hello Steph! Your group is the opposite of my family! I love the Christmas season, but I'm also ready to clean up and move on. So if it were up to me, all Christmas decorations would be down on December 26. But at Disney, they are not! We did a split stay in the week leading up to marathon weekend this year and we were so anxious for the decorations to come down that we remember it relatively well! I read something about a different order for the resorts each year, but I don't know if that's true.

Here's what I recall: We arrived on 1/3 and stayed at AOA first - decorations up. Then we stayed at AKL 1/4-1/5 - decorations still up. Then we stayed at GF in the main building from 1/5-1/7. Decorations were up when we arrived, but when we walked out of our room the morning of 1/7, the tree was down. We let out a big "woo hoo!" and looked slightly crazy, since everyone loves it when the decorations stay up. Then we stayed at Poly from 1/7-1/12 and I think the tree came down towards the beginning of our stay. I remember lunch at WL after the half marathon on 1/10 and their tree was down then. We didn't stop in the Epcot area resorts during that trip, so not sure about BC, but the YC/BC thread will be able to answer!

They're usually down by the 3rd or 4th!
