There are worse ways to do invoicing, I'm sure! You can rent sat phones, and Starlink is hoping to have direct to cell ready to go in '25. Scanners are cheap and a loaner laptop on hand is just smart for any company. Just sayin... this would never work for me though it sounds tempting. I'd be too distracted. My issue is that I would end up being gone from work for over 2 weeks and during the 2nd week of that time is when I have to get all the invoicing done for the month of April and sent to our customers. I doubt my boss will buy me a Sat phone with internet access, laptop and scanner so that i can work from the ship. But I will ask
So it looks like another 7-day for us in the spring of 2026.

As I understand, Fantasy will dry dock in fall 2025 and will mirror the Dream's drydock plans. They are extending concierge lounge and making rooms on 10 concierge as well. (Concierge on Dream told us that in March and bookings post dry dock are confirming that change). Not sure what else is under the dry dock plan but my guess is whatever they are doing on Dream (which is in dry dock this fall) they will repeat on Fantasy next year.Does anyone have thoughts about what the Fantasy might be doing the month before the WBTA in October? The latest Europe cruise that I could find was the British Isles 7-night that disembarks Sept 15, over a month before the WBTA departure Oct 20. Possibly dry dock? Or itineraries still to be announced?
At any rate, am planning to book the WBTA since it's something we've talked about doing for years, and will make a nice bookend of trans-ocean experience after doing the South Pacific last year, plus my future cruise credit will expire 10/25/25 so it's perfect timing. I'm also very tempted to add on a B2B for the 5-day Bahamas because we've never been to Castaway Cay. And we've only sailed the classic ships, so it would also be fun to explore a new ship (although we love the classic ship layout!).
My only concern is that I would have to do some work in the mornings, especially if I book the B2B. I used the Wonder's internet last year and it was freshly updated and I was even able to do a couple zoom meetings in the middle of the Pacific, so if the Fantasy's internet similar, then I could do the B2B without feeling too guilty, lol.
Yeah, I feel like that's a lot of concierge rooms!I am surprised how big they are going on Concierge... Given how limited the offerings are...
That is true, there are lots of ways to do invoicing, but how we have to do them to and send to our customers, requires me getting into 3 different customer required processing systems (this is just not me printing a one-page invoice that is mailed to a customer) and uploading each page of the pay application one at a time into the customer required system after the pages have been notarized. So, me being gone during that timeframe is normally a no-no.There are worse ways to do invoicing, I'm sure! You can rent sat phones, and Starlink is hoping to have direct to cell ready to go in '25. good point and a real concern! I could buy another contract for the price of one Treasure sailing.I was also shocked at the treasure prices for May 2026… trying to decide if it’s worth it or if I should just put that money towards more dvc points that will bring me vacations for 30+ years…
It’s a hard decision! I’d really like to do the treasure cruise for a change of pace, but also, it’s hard to think about $8500 just being gone when the week is over, unlike DVC…good point and a real concern! I could buy another contract for the price of one Treasure sailing.
Nope….Am I the only one gobsmacked by the price increases? Especially the PC and TA sailings? We're talking close to double compared to 4-5 years ago.
No more so than anything else these days, sadly... at least where we are everything is way up. If anything it makes me want to go now before it doubles again in a decade because our salaries have not. This is the first time my company has said no raises, so I'm not sure where I'll be in five years. The last time I worked somewhere that did that they ended up closing (bigger company now, but still).Am I the only one gobsmacked by the price increases? Especially the PC and TA sailings? I would plan for the worst just in case and hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised. My guess is a few hours.May be slightly off topic, but what should someone expect when calling to book a placeholder on release date? Unfortunately, can't use a TA due to Disney's 30 day rules, so I'm just curious about how long I should plan to be on the phone during Silver booking. Thanks!

When going through the options, select new booking even though you have a reservation number from the placeholder. You'll get through faster. But still prepare for a few hours potentially.May be slightly off topic, but what should someone expect when calling to book a placeholder on release date? OMG! I did the same thing. Does calling the 800 number on placeholder reservation give you any better odds of getting through?May be slightly off topic, but what should someone expect when calling to book a placeholder on release date? Oh my, I forgot about that 800 number - is it the same as the general DCL booking number? (Sorry, I’m not where I can check right now.) So I’m looking forward to reading answers to your post! We’re Silver, booking a January cruise out of PC that goes only to CC and LP, so I hope it won’t be in too much demand.OMG! I did the same thing. I am Gold and looking at TA cruise on the Fantasy.
The number for SIlver is 800-449-3380 it is the same number for all Castaway Club members…. Be sure to have your CC Club number handy when you call.Oh my, I forgot about that 800 number - is it the same as the general DCL booking number? (Sorry, I’m not where I can check right now.)
