for spring airfare? We are planning to travel the week before Easter next year. When should I start looking to get the best deals? 9 months? 6 months?

;) I start looking as soon as my reservations are made or I have firm dates for vacation. Then I book as soon as something happens within my budget--whether it is 6 months or nine months. I usually check airline sites daily until that happens then I usually check back frequently to see if the price has come down after I have booked---I am just interested....kinda like checking the DIS daily to see what the new threads are.

If you have specific dates for a trip, I would start looking now. If anything, it would give you an idea as to what fares are running between your origination & destination. You can always keep checking to see if they are increasing or decreasing. And if you find airfare that looks good to you and it does not look like it will go down, book it. At this time, I would not be in any rush to book for next spring though. Just watch it and book if it is really good!
