Up upcoming trip is a 9 night stay in a 2 bedroom with 8 people. I am seriously considering adding at least a couple of additional trash and towel service days to our stay. When do I request this? At check-in or should I contact MS to add it to my reservation? Also, when do I pay for it?

TIA

We've had a couple of trips with friends or family and the two bedroom was full. We just told our guests ahaed of time that no one woul be making their bed for them, picking up their towels or raplacing their towels until the fourth day. They were fine with it and we didn't pay for any extra towels or cleaning.

If you decide you want the extra service you pay for it when you check out and make the request when you check in.

Thank you very much for the information. I guess you are right, with advance notice, I should be able to expect everyone to pick up after themselves. It is the least they can do for the free digs, right?

I think the $10 trash & towel service is a good deal for a 2 bedroom if you don't want to be reusing or washing towels. They normally charge $6 for 4 sets of towels, for $10 they will replace all 8 sets in the 2 bedroom plus take out the trash & replace soaps.

On a 9 night stay, you will automatically get a full cleaning on day 4 and a trash & towel on day 8.

Is day 1 the check-in day? We check in on Saturday, is the full cleaning day on Tuesday or Wednesday?

Day 1 is check in day, If that is Sat, the full cleaning will be Tues. Check your reservation. It should be written on that.

Thank you again. We are new to DVC and this will be our first stay on points.

Have a great stay. And Welcome Home!!

Do all floors have a trash room where you can take your trash if the cans start to overflow?

At BWV there is one in each "wing". At OKW they are on the ground floor of each building. Not sure about the others, I'm sure they have them.

We weren't sure if we'd need the extra service or not so we just waited until we got there (BCV). If you decide you DO need the extra service, you can call housekeeping THAT DAY or the night before and request it. They'll charge it to your room to be paid at the end of your stay. You DON'T have to schedule them in advance. We did end up having them bring us a set of towels (we were in a 2br with 6 of us) and they informed me it would be $6 and added to our bill. No problem. However, they never did charge me and the front desk just shrugged it off at check-out and said not to worry about it.

BCV has them on every floor. The trash rooms are marked and also have bins for recycling as well as the excess trash.

This was going to be my next question. After discussing it with DH, we wanted to try and make it without the additional T&T or the extra towel pack, but we weren't sure if it would work with the kids and the added towels used due to swimming. But we didn't want to be stuck if we had to request the services in advance. Thank you for the information.

(The bolding is mine). I just wanted to let you know that you won't need to use the towels from your room for the pool. The have racks with PLENTY of full-sized towels down at the pool for guests to use.

Have a great stay!

We got back yesterday from a week at a BCV 2-bedroom. Our first full day there, I called Housekeeping from the room phone and asked that our Wednesday trash-and-towel be converted to a Tuesday and a Friday full cleaning. After that, we got full cleanings every day we were there, but when we checked out we were only charged for the 2 that I asked for. I happily left a nice tip.
