When to purchase trip insurance?

I'm sailing in August of this year and am not sure when I should start looking at trip insurance.

Any info would be appreciated.

if you need it to cover pre-existing conditions the range to purchase is between 7 to 14 days of paying your deposit depending on who you go with.
