I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

The spend for the CIC is only $6,000 total. The Terms state $350 Cash Back After You Spend $3,000 On Purchases In The First 3 Months From Account Opening and $400 Cash Back After You Spend A Total Of $6,000 On Purchases In The First 6 Months From Account Opening.
Thanks so much for pointing that out. That's what I get for skim reading! I think I'll definitely go with the CIC then since he doesn't already have one of those!

Edited to add - applied and instant approval with $5,000 credit limit!

DH is having to get a couple of crowns so we need to get a new card pretty quickly (his appointment is July 8th). About a month ago, I worked on cleaning up his Chase account, so he now just has 2 biz cards (CIP and CIU) and 3 personal (CSR, Hyatt and CF) and credit lines are good. No apps since December of 24, so should be good there as well.

I was thinking it would be best for him to go for the CIC since he doesn't have that, but the SUB on the CIU looks to be better now - same bonus for $6,000 spend vs $9,000 spend (if I'm looking at it right).

Is there an issue for him applying for another CIU since he already has one?
Shouldn’t be an issue, but I think the SUB is the same on the CIC and CIU

Not sure if this applies to this thread, but considering the Instacart credit card perks. I might go early vs lunch time on the times I can swing it.

I just read this somewhere else. The exec member hours are so much better for me personally. By 10am there's a LINE of people at my local Costco. And the $10 credit is nice too.

The 7PM change is also welcomed, so many times we have come back from a busy Saturday wanting a cheep pizza for dinner but 6PM closing time really sucks.

I'm not sure why this makes me so incredibly happy. My Costco is dreadful. I've been to numerous Costcos and mine has the worst parking, worst checkout, most crowded aisles.

The 7 PM Saturday close is so much better for consumers. I never got why it closed at 6 PM. And I like the extra hours for EMs. I thought they used to have extra hours way back, but maybe I'm imagining that.

My EM always more than pays for itself between furniture, appliances, and travel purchases. I definitely have a love/hate relationship with Costco but hopefully this will improve the balance:)

I don't have all the details, but a friend is asking advice on a flight they have booked for Friday (6/13) on Silver Airways from Fort Laurderdale to Eluthera, Bahamas. Silver Airways went bankrupt this morning and have closed up shop. My friends used the CSR when booking, but I'm not sure if they booked through the Chase portal or just used the CSR to pay booking direct. Her DH booked and she wasn't sure how he did it. So either way - what happens now? Does the CSR insurance kick in here? Will it cover the difference in airfares for a different airline? Looking at new flights they are over $900 each and they are a family of 6!

Based on the csr guide to benefits, I’m not sure it’s covered but they say to contact Chase disputes on the number on the back of the card.

I know why they were only open during those times, because it's one shift of workers. Thats what I understood. The real question is how many people upgrade their membership for this perk to the point its just as busy 😂

did you book with an ota? maybe do a chargeback if it was booked directly, if it was Chase Travel or expedia etc its going to be difficult.

Not an expert but I suspect the best they can hope for is for Chase to refund the amounts paid to Silver - but I do not think they will cover additional costs incurred if they decide to make alternative arrangements.

I don't have any info on the Chase insurance, but Jet Blue flies from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau. There are several small planes that fly from Nassau into Eleuthera. The plane we flew into Eleuthera was tiny, but I think there are bigger planes. A connecting flight for that short of a distance isn't ideal, but it would get them there and not be $800 each. Jet Blue saved us on a trip years ago when Delta melted down and couldn't get us home for 3 days.

Also those looking to roll the dice on a product change to the CSR all the rumors are blogs are saying the 17th is the last day to do so.

Hubby PCed to a CSR weeks ago but still no AF here. When it does hit, it should be the $550, right, because that's the fee he agreed to when he called in?
