When to leave MK for MCO with rental car?

We will be leaving on Wednesday afternoon, 8/30 - flight is at 3:30 PM. We will be returning a rental car (Dollar, which is onsite at MCO). I searched the boards and found one recommendation that you allow 45 - 60 minutes to drive from the MK to the airport, which included time to return the car. This was a couple of years old, however. Anyone have any recent experience/recommendations? The airline is recommending airport arrival 1.5 hours before the flight, so I'm thinking we can leave MK by 1 PM and still have plenty of time.

That is a pretty good estimate. I would do the same.
