When to kids go on spring break in your area (for 2009)?

I know a lot of Phoenix area schools have the week of March 8th off for Spring Break.

Yeah, I've been off the DLR boards for awhile and over on the WDW boards during the planning phase of our recent trip to WDW, but now that it's over, I'm back "home" on the DLR boards.

I really missed being here. (And secretly, I missed being at DLR when we were at WDW. I'm not sure why. I guess it's because DLR is more.....cozy?......homey?......laid back?.....I'm not really sure what the word is.) But we still had a great time at WDW, although it was quite busy and crowded, which was a bit unexpected.

I read the Ladies Only Trip Thread all the time, but I haven't posted on it at all. It sure sounds like a lot of fun! Are you one of the lucky ones who gets to go to Club 33?

And the tote exchange and scavenger hunt sound like so much fun! I wish I could go. Maybe I will.

Oh dear, a lot of the Phoenix schools have the week of March 8th off? That means that starting on March 6th and 7th, the crowds could start to come in droves, right? UGH!

There should also be heavy crowds on dates right before or right after this period.

Same with us! We are leaving on the 28th (Saturday) and will be at DL for 4 nights.

We're in the Bay Area and we've got the week following Easter off at our public schools (so April 11-19).

We're in WV (a long way off from DL), but our school system is off March 14-22 (wanted to surprise my family with a WDW trip, but too many conflicts with my DH's job). Strangely, we're the only ones in our state, it seems, who are off this week. Everyone else is off around Easter (we do get Good Friday and Easter Monday off, though).

I'm confused Wouldn't the heavy crowds be DURING this period?? Does this statement mean they're heavy Mid March - Late April??

We are off the week of the 23rd, so I booked 3/23 -3/25......sure hope they have extended hours by then....and if i can dream fireworks!

The vast majority of Spring Break guests will visit the DLR between 27 March and 19 April.

However, since some people also get their Spring Break vacations early or later than everyone else, there will also be an increased number of guests than usual preceeding and right after the peak period.

We are off 4/10 to 4/18. We live in Temecula, but go to private school and sometimes our breaks are different from the public schools (generally the same though).
