When to go?

Hi all -

After two trips in two years, this year we had to take a break because I'm expecting our next kidlet in a few weeks (and I would have gone to WDW pregnant, but DH kept going on and on about budgets, preparing for a new baby, conserving time and money... :confused3 )

Anyway, OCD planner that I am, I'm now trying to figure out when we can take our next trip! We have 5 year old twins and we are looking at either January with 5 year old twins and an 8-9 month old OR April/May with 6 year old twins and a 12-13 month old. We've always gone in the spring before, but I wonder if January is worth a shot... plus it's that much closer...
:rolleyes1 Can you tell I'm in withdrawl?

What do you all think? Any input or experience? I know it's different for everybody, I'm just looking for feedback!
Thanks!

Having been in January (We are going in a couple weeks so I will have an opinion about April/May then), I say go then. When we to DS last year for his birthday (the last week of January), the weather was great (We did need a sweatshirt for some days/nights but we even swam a couple of times...it was fine, even though the lifeguards were wearing parkas) and the crowds were so light. I don't think we ever waited more than 20 minutes for anything....it was awesome. Plus, I think the baby would be easier then because he/she won't be walking and will be content in the stroller. Once they start walking, they seem to want to walk all the time, ya know?

Our last trip was in January for DS's birthday and I don't think I'd go again at that time of year. The low crowds were fabulous and we lucked out with some decent weather, but it was still on the cool side (and being from Michigan, we're pretty cold-tolerant). My kids are older (7 & 11) and were happy to swim, but it would have been too cool to take a baby swimming, and some of our boat rides to/from MK were downright cold. And that was just about the best of FL winter weather - highs in the 70s/lows in the 50s. The same week this year had some lows in the 30s!

Traveling with a baby, I'd want to go at a more dependably warm time of year so that I wouldn't be worrying about hats and jackets and blankets and missing out on swimming fun because it is too cold to take the baby in the water. Our youngest was born in July and although we toyed with the idea of a Dec or Jan trip, we ended up deciding that April/May would be better for the warmer weather (of course now I'm kind of kicking myself that we didn't go sooner, since I ended up having to postpone that May trip until Sept and I'm suffering some serious WDWithdrawal ;)).
