I am considering an adult trip (given that I can find an adult to go with me, LOL, since hubby is not a fan) to the Food and Wine Festival. Is there a particular date, weekend or time to go? I see that there are special events but are there events everyday? Do things sell out for the special events? If you have been what kind of events are worth it?

Thanks! I need an experienced Food and Winer (hehe not whiner ;)) to help me out.

The only thing I've heard is to avoid weekends if at all possible. I've never been, but would like to and I've been hearing that the weekends are *much* busier than weekdays and not recommended in general.

My wife and I have gone that last 3 years and love it! It's by far our favorite Disney event.

Do not go on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. In addition to the tourist/vacationers you will have scores of locals drinking it up and getting a little roudy (in a fun way). It's extremely busy and can damper the experience a little. Pick a week day for sure. All the events are nice (from the food/cooking demonstrations, etc). We never take part in much because it takes all day to make your way around to all the food kiosks and to enjoy the Eat to the Beat Concert. Those are always a bunch of fun. If your husband doesn't enjoy Disney I'm sure he would enjoy the F&W Festival. What guy doesn't like to stuff his face with food from around the world and wet his whistle with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages from around the world. My wife and I love it!

We have gone twice...once midweek and last year on the weekend. While midweek was so much more enjoyable because there were almost no people there (especially if you start as soon as the booths open) I have to say that the weekend was not terrible. Certainly more crowded than midweek but completely bearable. We did the morning Segway tour around Epcot, hit a few rides and then spent the afternoon snacking and drinking around the world. Highly recommended!! :goodvibes If you can attend the Halloween party at MK as well. We did it last year for the first time and it is alot of fun even for adults w/out kids!

The weekend lowdown for World Showcase is basically this.

Friday - OK for the morning, early afternoon. People start showing up after that and the lines get longer.

Saturday - Don't even try it. If you have to, show up right at 11, hit a few booths and get out. If the weather is at all good, it will be extremely crowded with huge lines for everything.

Sunday - A bit better. Good if you don't have any other choice, but if you can swing a Monday-Thursday do that instead.

we are going from the 28th till the 3rd of nov. Anyone have any good pointers?
