Has anyone stayed at Disney over Thanksgiving??
We are trying to decide.....Thanksgiving, right before Christmas or Spring Break?? HELP!!! :yay:

Thanks!

Welcome to the DISboards! :goodvibes

I've only been to Disney in the summer, but I hear after Thanksgiving-between December is a good time to go for less people.

It's a safe bet to avoid any Holidays.November is historically low attendance. But,the closer to the holiday ,the busier it gets.I have been the second week of December and it was great.Lines were almost nonexistent. The only major crowd was at night for the Christmas party.Enjoy!:goodvibes

We went right after thanksgiving in '06. Crowds were low, and the temperatures were mild.

I love the decorations at Christmas, so I would vote Christmas anytime!

spring break is nutz........:eek::rolleyes1

we go in Oct(54 more days:3dglasses) and love it, nov before thanxgiving week is fab too:cloud9:
Enjoy youselves!!!

We have visited the world for the last couple of years for two weeks....the week of Thanksgiving and the week following Thanksgiving. Attendance during the week of Thanksgiving gradually increases to the point that we will not even go into the parks on Thursday and Friday because of the crowds, with Wednesday and Saturday also being pretty crowded. The Sunday after Thanksgiving you see a dramatic decrease in crowd levels and the whole week after Thanksgiving is pure heaven.

The weather is a good mix during this time of year. Some days warm enough to go swimming or even hit a water park. The evenings can become cold (depending on what you consider cold, for us it's great).

MVMCP, Osborne Lights, Castle Lighting, extended Illuminations, Candlelight Processional and more will all be available for sure the week after Thanksgiving. The offerings the week of Thanksgiving have been different year to year.

Early December is a perfect to come and enjoy the parks and then get out of town before the insanity of Christmas begins.

I've been the first week of December and spring break, I'd go with early December....the crowds are super low and the weather is great. Think of spring break as the complete opposite of that.

We went to Disney the 1st week of Feb. and it was awesome. Hardly any lines - the longest line was to see Mickey and Minnie. Next time I'd like to try a few weeks into Dec. We did have a cold day actually - very unusual for Fl. at that time...but I think it kept the lines down and it warmed up in the afternoon. It was the perfect day!

we normally go in January great weather and not a lot of people, but than again we are just so happy to be away from all that snow that time of year we wouldnt mind it if it was busier. I guess everyone has there reasons for going when they do.

When ever you decide to go I'm sure you'll love it.

My favorite time of year to go is September. But since that's not in your list, I'd go for 1.5 weeks after Thanksgiving. It'll be dead and you'll be able to get a Christmas Party in as well as all the Holiday decor. Great time of year to go if you don't mind the cooler weather :lovestruc

Hi! Because I am a teacher, I go during the popular times. We have been twice over Thanksgiving, and are going again this year the same week. I have also been twice over our spring break, and for a weekend in February. It is definitely more crowded during these times, but still worth it. There is something special about spending the holiday at the parks.

I vote for Dec. But to be honest I haven't gone during this time but have been doing a lot of reading and even on the list of who is going at what time in Dec. I see the week I chose to be a low list. So I am thinking we will get lucky with low crowds.

Oh and if you hurry and book you can get the free dinning plan.

Unless you want to wait in long, long lines, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go over Spring Break!!! The week right after Thanksgiving is one of the best weeks to go; the Christmas decorations are up, but the crowds are down!

I've been various times of the year. If I had to choose, it would be in December. Simply because of the decorations. I have been during Spring Break (2 years ago), it was crowded, but I didn't find it too unbearable.
