Christmas season totally blew me away last year   - in a months time I'll have Halloween season to compare it with, but it would have to be something really special to replace Christmas as my favourite time at DLRP.

I prefer Christmas season midweek in November because the crowds are small & the park is beautiful, although it can be very cold!

Christmas for the atmosphere and summer for the weather, fireworks and later opening :)

Now you're all making me wish I was going for Xmas...going to have to be at least a years wait!! :(

We are wanting to do Christmas, New Year and Summer (early before schools break up, or just after they go back) within the next two years. We had wanted to do Halloween, Christmas, New Year and Summer within three years so we are doing Halloween this year, probably Summer and New Year next year and Christmas the year after. Then it will be time for Kacee to start school so we will only be able to go in school holidays

I've done Christmas, Halloween and Summer. Christmas is truly magical and the decorations are beautiful. :santa: Halloween is great fun :yay: but I think I like summer best because of the long evenings and fireworks :goodvibes

Sorry I've not been much help but I'm sure you'll love it whenever you go! :rotfl:

we've done summer and christmas and I have to say they are both fab :) I'm totally excited for our halloween trip and I'm already wondering when to go again next year !! It's hard to say when's best as dependent on season they always have so much to offer.

Am I making a big mistake going the last week of March?? It will probably be the one and only time in my life I'll have the opportunity. Are the crowds horrible?? Are there fireworks?? I'd be there during the week . . . .

TIA!
Brenda

Unless there are French school holidays in the last week of March, midweek I'd expect it to be quiet in the parks. Its not UK school holidays at that time, the 15th anniversary stuff will have finished, and the parks will close midweek at 6 or 7pm. No fireworks at DLRP, unless its high summer season, New Years Eve, or Bonfire night (or very occasionally for a special occasion like St Davids Day etc).
