When to get in line for CP

What time do we need to be in line to get seats for the second or third CP performance? We will be there on an EMH night, the weekend before Christmas, so I know it will be very crowded.

We have always purchased the Candlelight Processional Package, but this year our college age kids talked us into an "extra" trip the weekend before Christmas, when they finish finals, so we are trying to minimize costs since we hadn't budgeted for this one.

Lines can begin forming 120+ minutes before show-time, if it is a busy day.
You will line up along the Lagoon fence to the right of the theater (facing the stage.)

Sometimes you can arrive for a later show just after the previous show ends, but on a busy night and or a popular guest narrator... I don't think that will be enough time.

Don't know what to say, but just "give it a try."

If you don't get in, you can see and hear the show while standing behind the seating area,
and at least hear it all the way across the space that fronts the American Adventure building.

Rule-of-thumb:
If it is IMPORTANT to see a specific show at WDW,
it is far better to arrive way too early, than arrive a bit too late.

Crowd levels for individual shows are just too hard to predict.

Thanks for the suggestions; we will give it lots of extra time, since this trip is all about the Christmas events.

By the way, those are awesome photos; definitely angles we've never seen--where did they come from?
