I'm glad they have new luggage tags. The ones we got in 2012 and 2013 were so ugly, especially after the really pretty ones we got in 2010, two of which are still on my bags and that's what we use all the time now. I threw away the soft plastic ones we got in 2012 and 2013.

I literally just checked MDE and I had a message saying that my magic bands shipped via US Mail Parcel Post with a tracking #. I received the DME luggage tags two months ago. We check in Oct 9.

Update: we received the gray luggage tags at home since we didn't originally receive them without magic bands. I wasn't completely disappointed that they didn't match out MB colors, because I really like the gray. The today, at POFQ, we arrived yesterday, we received mail in our room. It was the luggage tags that match our bands! They mailed them to us here. It was great surprise and a little vacation magic!

I know that we're supposed to get luggage tags but have no idea what they look like. I have gotten my yellow DME tags already but no Magic Bands yet. Are the souvenir luggage tags like those hard plastic tags that you slip a paper with your address on it? What will they look like?

I received our bands but no luggage tags, or other paperwork. Other than instructions for the magic bands. Do I get anything for Magical express? We arrive Oct 17th.
Also noting - our final balance does not show due till day of check-in.

We arrive Oct 21 and received our Magic Bands on Sept 28. We did not receive any luggage tags at all.

Our Magical Express mail came approximately a week prior to that...so sometime during the week of Sept 21. My parents had not yet received their Magical Express mail as of Sept 28 even though they're flying with us (just staying at a different resort).

I'm not sure why we didn't receive any luggage tags at all with our Magic Bands -- perhaps because we did not book a package? We rented DVC points from a member here on the Dis (she's been amazing!) and purchased park tickets through Undercover Tourist. I wondered if that was why.

The luggage tags are one of the Magical Extras you get when booking a package. If you stay on DVC points or have booked a room only reservation that is payable at check in, you don't have a Magic You Way package.

A room only reservation is just that. You will get your Magic Bands, and if needed, ME luggage tags, but nothing else in the mail. Take a printout of your room reservation with you, pay the balance at check in.

We got our tags with our bands. They were delivered yesterday. My sister said they were inside the box. She said they matched and that I have a Daisy Duck one, She has Mickey and my niece has Pluto. I am having her send me a picture and I will see if I can upload them.

My trip a few years ago I remembered getting holographic mickey tags (still on my suitcase actually lol) and just realized we didn't get them for this trip.

I arrive two days after you and I did indeed get the souvenir luggage tags in my Magic Band box. They were on the bottom, in a little blue sorta-envelope. Life the insert that the bands sit in.

yes they were there. I had forgotten about them at first so I didn't think to check.
