when do luggage tags and magic bands arrive? Do they come together? Thanks!

For us, they arrived separate. We got our magic bands about 4 or 5 days after they shipped. We received notification that they had shipped thru our email plus the Disney website under "My Disney Experience" informs you of the shipping date. Our luggage tags arrived in a separate envelope along with a booklet "Walt Disney Travel Company package information". The booklet has coupons, information about your accommodations and various info for your trip.

I had read somewhere about new luggage tags that match your bands, but we didn't get them with our bands. We did get the regular ones with our Magic Express package, but was hoping for the others as well!

Are you checking in Sept 29th or later? They are sending out the new luggage tags to match your bands for guests checking in on 9/29 and later. So maybe that is why.

I just went and checked again to make sure and every article I read about the new luggage tags says that guests checking in on Sept 29th or later will recieve a color coordinated luggage tag with their magic bands. So yeah, you should have. After I paid for my trip in full the other day, my TA sent me an email with other info and even said I should be getting these new tags and they will arrive with my magic band. They are apparently coming with the magic bands, not separately.

This is from an article I read-

"Most guests who booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company directly or through a Travel Agent that books directly through the WDTC will start receiving the new tags with their MagicBand if they are scheduled to arrive at the Walt Disney Resort reservation on 9/29/15 or after. Guests staying at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels, Four Seasons Resort Orlando and Downtown Disney Area Hotels will continue to receive their luggage tags with their Magic You Way Travel package documents. Delivery methods will vary based on when the reservation was booked and if MagicBands were customize."

We have always gotten our bands about 4 weeks before arriving. MDE tells you when they have shipped. The luggage tags (not Magical Express) used to always come separately, but now there are new ones that are color coordinated with your magic bands and will arrive with them. Magical Express tags come separately around a month out or even earlier sometimes.

So I called today and spoke to a CM. he confirmed that I was supposed to receive the collectors edition of the luggage tags that matched our bands. He then put me on hold for 30 minutes, checking in with me every 10 minutes or so to tell me they were still checking into it. At the end of the call he told me they have put in a request to resend the luggage tags, but he isn't sure if they will send them or not. He said it is done by a 3rd party and they can't really request part of the shipment....but they will try. He also said they should have some at the front desk when I check in and I can just explain to them that I didn't receive them. I am not too confident that I will get them, but he really did try to help me at least!

Yes, you get luggage tags if you're staying onsite regardless of whether you're flying or not. They usually come a couple of weeks before your magic bands.

Just a thought, I've seen some other posters that have said the tags are under the magic bands, at the bottom of the box. Did you try lifting the cardboard that the magic bands are tucked into? They should be in an envelope under the bands. worth checking!

I did. I even took apart section that the bands are sitting in.
