When to do FP+ selections?????

So I am going to WDW sunday and haven't done fast passes yet, I am surprising my DDs 11 and 9 with trip and am telling them right before we come down (they think they are going to beach). So I got tickets linked last week on MDE and was going to do fast passes but realized my kids may want to have some input in selections. At this point does it really matter if I do it now or Saturday night after I tell them. Seems to me like any fast passes would've been reserved already and I will still be ahead of the walk in guests the next morning so should still be able to get selections. I did secure BOG lunch Fastpass after learning of it here, Thanks DIS!!!

You should go in and see what is available and book 3 that you think they may like. Then on Saturday you can adjust if necessary. Remember, "day of" slots open up as soon as the gates open so you still may make changes "day of" if you want to get better times.
