When to do AK - advice please :)

We are going to WDW at the very end of August. We have two feasible options for visiting Animal Kingdom. Saturday August 27th (crowd level 4) from later afternoon until 11pm closing or Wednesday August 31st (crowd level 2) with a later start around 10am and out of the park by 5:30pm.

Which would you choose and why?

What are wait times like with the late evening hours?

The Saturday morning has extra magic hours in the morning so not sure if that will still affect the busyness of the park in the later afternoon.

Frankly, I think either one will be fine. AK isn't as crowded as the other parks. If I were picking, I'd go Saturday from late afternoon to closing. The park is nearly empty after 6pm, you can walk on just about anything you want.

I would go later in the day and stay til closing on Saturday.

I will be there the same time! We are going on the 31st...Tusker House reservation at 8:30 breakfast. We are morning people. But I agree, either day is good. Have fun!

Thanks for the replies I think we'll likely go with the Saturday evening option as it sounds like the crowds are lower and it works well with our schedule. We also have never done AK in the dark, so it sounds like that is worth the experience as well
