When to dine at Be Our Guest: Help!

Thanks everyone! I totally agree with you all, and really am grateful to have the confirmation that missing out on party time is not worth the dinner experience. The party is so amazing and I am arriving on that Friday just so I can do the last party of the year. Last year I went and it was the highlight of my vacation. This year I am really dead set to meet the 7 dwarves, so I would be super disappointed if it took up 2 hours of party time waiting in line. Sooner I can get in line the better!!

There's just me in my party, I am a solo vacationer, so I have found that Disney is a little more flexible with me because I am alone. I have actually never had a request denied, because it is just me they are accommodating. Of course, I have never really asked for anything too big and certainly not at the level of Be Our Guest, where I am sure they get lots of requests and cannot accommodate everyone. So, I don't think I wanna bank my whole day on whether Disney will sprinkle some magic on me, when I am sure they will be getting a lot of people with the same request.

I am going to just do the Monday dinner. I don't mind eating late, and I might revise my Monday plans to make that a sleep in day so I am not too tired. Then it will be a nice late dinner, and 2 hours in the MK before it closes for the night! Thanks again for all the input! And if anyone needs a 12/18 6pm ressie for BOG, I'll be releasing it probably later today.
I was asking how many because I have a couple BOG reservations for earlier in the day, for 4, that I may be dropping. They are on the 20th.

They will not seat you early (otherwise the reservation system would be pointless) ... (trust me .. I had to wait in the rain for 15 minutes before they would let us in).

I would not have dinner during a party you paid extra for. But the other time isn't optimal either ... trying to get from DHS to MK at night could take a while.

Thanks Angi! That's so nice, but the 20th is pretty well set for me. Gonna do rose and crown that evening for illuminations. I just saw that you're going for the holidays as well! Are you getting so excited?!? I can't hardly stand it. Next week cannot come soon enough! Have a great trip!!!

That's not necessarily true. DH and I checked in about an hour early (or something like that) during our trip in September because we were passing by BoG and ended up getting seated shortly after checking in.

Yes I am. We've been in December before but never this late in the month. I'm excited and scared with the crowds at the same time

Have a great trip

That's most definitely an exception and NOT the rule in the case of BoG - so yay for getting lucky!!

I'm there at least once a week for both lunch and dinner - for lunch, they're VERY adamant that you can only check in 5-10 minutes prior to your ADR. For dinner, you're more than welcome to check in and move to the bridge, but you will likely be waiting until at least your ADR time, if not later.

The only time I've been seated almost immediately upon checking in at BoG has been for dinner right when the dinner period opened. Every time after that, I can easily count on at least a 10-15 minute wait - and that's been for a party of 1.

We did get very lucky because it poured while we were eating. I wasn't expecting to get seated so early either. I just wanted to check in and get that all set. Haha.
