When to cruise

Help please. I'm trying to plan our 2nd 7-day Magic cruise and trying to decide when to go.
I've narrowed it down to early Sept. 03 or 11/29/03 (DD's 11th b-day). Is the water temp and air temp still warm enough for the water excursions in late-November? Is the ship more or less crowded in Nov. because it is around the holiday? I'd like to do it as a b-day event for DD, but then, of course, DS is going to want a cruise for his b-day!

Any thoughts?
