Hi All-
We are going to the world at the end of Aug-Labor day and know that we want to go to the water parks one day. I also know that its technically hurricane season. Is it a waste of money to buy the tickets early? Should we wait until we are there?

Any advice would be helpful :earsboy:

Is that a potential FD period (that might require a package with WP tickets)?
For FD you would probably need to wait.
Otherwise you could wait if you don't mind spending a little time upgrading your ticket later.
Mousesavers sometimes has better deals on WP tickets, and that's about the only reason to get them now.

I recently had this question (but for a different reason). If you're buying a single day ticket there are some discount ticket sites that will be created than buying direct (cannot vouch for any, haven't bought them). Otherwise it really doesn't matter - you can use any single day ticket on any day, they're not assigned ahead of time, and you can always buy at the gate if the savings is not worth it.

We're heading down around the same time period as you, and we've decided to wait to buy ours. We are DVC members, though, so we get a small discount on the tickets when purchased separately. But we'd never use more than 1 day of water park tickets, so it doesn't make sense to add the WP&M option onto our tickets before hand.

There is no advantage to buying water park tickets or upgrading your tickets to add WPF&M now. WDW created a "need" to purchase theme park tickets in advance by allowing FP+ reservations prior to arrival. The water parks don't have FP+, so absolutely no advantage to buying in advance.

We chose the room discount and not free dinning. We don't have park hoppers or water park tickets, just the regular ones. I will for sure look at mousesavers thanks!
