My DW and I have come up with the tentative dates of Sept. 14-16th. We'll be in the park on the 15th and 16th and possibly for a little bit on the 14th. I was wondering how far in advance we should book the trip?

We have our September trip booked now at Hojo. :thumbsup2 It's never too early for me!

Thank you. We're trying to get our ducks in a row right now. Hopefully we'll book shortly.

Hotel, ASAP, because you can always re-book later if the rates get better. Right now, HoJo is showing their unbeatable Entertainment book rate of $59-$79 a night for your dates. http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14 They're a favorite on the boards because it's the nicest hotel on Harbor in walking distance for that price. I would call soon on that, though, because they do sell out of those rooms at the Ent rate. (BTW, you need to call the hotel directly and ask for IN HOUSE reservations to get that rate. The national reservations line can't help you with it.)

Airfare... well, depending on where you're coming from, the rates are pretty good right now. You might check on Farecast.com, to see if they have any suggestions of if or when the airfare might go down. Be sure and check several airports, too-- SNA is the closest, but LGB and LAX are often the cheapest.

Park tickets; doesn't matter, really. They don't really have promos after the spring season, like the current ones of 5 days for the price of 3, or adults for kids' price.

I would suggest booking these things separately. It's possible to book everything through Disney Travel, an airlines, or another travel agency, but usually you can save money by booking it yourself, separately...sometimes hundreds of dollars.

Also, you mentioned taking two days for the park with a possible third... I would definitely try to make it for at least 3 days. With a 3-day parkhopper, you'll get one Magic Morning (early entry), and it really takes 3 days to be able to see the parks without feeling rushed and overwhelmed. I actually prefer 3 full days and 2 partial days (arrival and departure days).

Hope that helps! :)

We'll be there at the same time and everything is booked. We handled the hotel a month ago, and paid for airfare, etc. yesterday.

Have a great time!

I'm planning on going just before you'll be ther (leaving for home either the 12 or 13th) and already have my room booked at the HoJo, and have had it booked for over a month now already. I'm all for booking it now!

Thanks everyone. Avalon 451 or anyone else that would like to answer. If we book now we were possibly going to go through get away today and we'd be getting the 5 for 3 tickets. Will these still be good or does that offer expire before our trip. I assume that if we get them now they'll be good for then, but I know what happens when you assume :lmao:

My friends and I will be there the same time (Sept. 13-19th) and have already booked out trip. We just couldnt pass up the 5 for 3 offer and got a great rate at Hotel Menage (our favorite hotel).

Get 2 More Nights FREE With a 3-Night Hotel and Ticket PackageExtend your family's vacation with two more days and nights FREE* when you purchase a three-night hotel and three-day ticket package: Stay at a Disneyland® Resort Hotel or participating Good Neighbor Hotel, and buy 3-Day Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Bonus Tickets to qualify! Valid for arrivals from April 1 to September 26 with travel completed by October 1. You must book by August 11.

Ah, so it IS good through September. That's good to know.

You might want to price that out. See how much it would cost you to do the 5 for 3 deal, staying at DLH or at a good neighbor hotel. (HoJo is a good neighbor hotel, but you won't be able to combine that deal with the Ent rate) Then see how much it would cost you to buy tickets separately (3-5 days, whatever you choose) and HoJo at the Ent rate. You might still come out ahead by booking separately. :)

Even with as much as I love getawaytoday - I find I can do better with booking everything separately. Especially if I can get the HoJo ent. rate. It is hard to beat $69 a night and no parking fees or hotel/resort fees. Just the rate and 15% tax. We already have our ressies (at HoJo) for Sept. 13-19 and can't wait!

That sounds good too. We're going to book around the 24th of this month. Unfortunately that's when the money's coming to do it.

If you plan to book HoJo you may as well call today to make sure you can get the ent. rate. You aren't charged anything until checkout.

We love HoJo ~ stayed there this past Dec.
