When to book for Aug 2015

Looking at booking a studio at AK, BW or BC for Aug 2015. We are a little unsure of the exact dates but I heard some resorts really require booking 11 months out.

Should I be looking at booking next month for Aug 2015 or is it possible to leave it a bit later?

Do you own at all those resorts? Only owners have that 11 month booking window. To book places you don't own, you can only book 7 months out. Now, if you're not a member at all, then it depends on how you plan to book. Rental? Through WDW?

That being said, August does not have as high a demand for DVC rooms due to the heat. I've booked rooms for August as late as 4 months out more than once.

Sorry, should have mentioned that I am renting the points. Hence the tough decision as I know there are generally no refunds on renting.

I own at AKV and BWV (and OKW and HHI) and am booking a trip for Aug 8-15...split stay with 3 nights in 2BR at AKV and 4 nights in 2BR at BWV. I am booking right at 11 months. If you want the tougher views to get, like we want, (standard or BW at BWV...club or value at AKV) or BCV, then you should book at 11 months out.

If you want a standard at BWV or a club or value at AKV, as others have said, you must book at 11 months.
