Hi when should I start trying to apply for the Spring 09 and Summer 09 CP and PI ?? Also does (and if so, how) my fall schedule matter for the spring CP or PI?? Thanks

I am also planning on going down Spring of 2009!

The application can be found online and the website says that it is currently taking applications for Fall 2008. Whenever they change that I will apply. My College Rep said that he would tell me when to do it too, if the website didn't say.

Awesome..what year are you in college? also do you know if our fall schedule matters??

You can start applying for the Spring 09 season as soon as the information is posted later this fall, for both the Disney College Program (around September) and Professional Internships (sometimes a bit later).

In order to apply for either, your fall schedule must have at least one class or more (a part-time student status or better) with at least a 2.0 GPA for the previous and current term, and meet any special requirements that your school has for participation.

I'm going to be a sophmore in the fall. And I'm just taking my normal full-load of classes in the fall and i've already talked to my university about the program...I think i have everything covered.

what year are you in vin?

This is not a requirment by disney. This is a requirment some schools have. I have been admitted to the CP twice with out a 2.0

My mistake, I thought there was a GPA requirement on the application page, but there isn't. You're right, it's left to the school's discretion what academic qualifications are necessary.

I am going into my senior year so i am trying to get a PI but if not il settle for the CP and then try and head right into a PI. My gpa is a 3.6 so I should be fine.

Just make sure when applying for Spring, you do so early in the fall/when applications go up since positions/roles in the CP can fill up fast. The longer you wait, the harder it is to get in.

Hey Everyone,
This is my first time posting, so I'm really excited. I recently completed my first College Program this past fall and I have been a Campus Rep for the last 7 months. Just so you know, the Disney College Program does not begin accepting applications until September 1st, at least. Keep your eyes on the website to be sure. The Disney Professional Internships begin postings on August 1st, 2008 for the Spring 2009 Season! I suggest going onto www disneycareers com and signing up now. This is the only way to apply for the Professional Internships! You should upload your resume and a cover letter, as well as copy and pasting your resume in the space provided. This information needs to be accurate, so that if you are chosen, they can get a hold of you quickly. Please feel free to ask me any questions, I will be checking this thread often.
Best of Luck,
FGM in Training

Hi Sandy! It's no bother for me to answer questions, I've noticed that a lot of schools don't have campus reps and this is a great way to get answers. In order to participate in the College Program, you must apply during a school semester. It does say that you must have had at least one semester of classes, so that freshman can apply for the program in their first semseter of college and attend the program during the spring semester, typically their second semester. My suggestion for you, since you want to do the Fall Advantage program, is that you should be in class this spring in order to apply for the program. I am farily familiar with non-traditional students. During my program, I met a few who were down there and since then, I've sent two from my school. Do think about this very strongly, because being a non-traditional student can be difficult on the College Program. A lot of people will assume that you are their for full time, seasonal, or part time work, not even considering you're on the College Program. This is not to discourage you, just to make you aware. Please let me know if there is anything else I can answer for you.

A campus rep helps promote the CP at a school. They hang posters, pass out flyers, hold info sessions, and so on. I am a campus rep at my school in NJ, and it is a lot of fun. I will be going into my 3rd rep semester in the fall.
