As a Lions fan living in Indiana, I didn't have a huge stake, although I was disappointed that the Saints won. I will give it to Sean Payton, though, on that onside kick call; very gutsy. I am glad that we can move on past this story of the Saints doing it for the city (well, after the month of coverage I'm sure it'll get).
Being from Detroit and being a Lions fan, the Saints win gives us hope. If they can do it, so can we. We both might be retired by then, but it will happen. Now we can speed up this process with a new owner
Congrats Saints...as a Nawlins resident from 1986-1990, Green Wave dept, I became an Aints/Saints fan back then and pretty much never thought this day would happen. Glad it finally did, for the city, the team, and all the fans.

That's true (and the same goes for the pre-Manning Colts) and one of the reasons I love the NFL. Look at all of the turn-arounds: Rams, Buccaneers, Bengals, etc. Heck, it even looked like the Lions would be such a story when they started out 6-2 in '07...1-7 later, they finished 7-9, though. I used to love baseball (I still follow the Tigers, just not to the same degree), but the antitrust rule is killing the game (and from a legal perspective it doesn't even make any sense...).
It's just painful to watch, now. Granted, Calvin Johnson (what, the 4th or 5th consecutive first round WR drafted...I'd hope at least one would pan out!) and Stafford are bright spots on offense, but there are a lot of holes still. I remember watching Barry Sanders, Herman Moore, Scott Mitchell and others when I was young...it was such a fun team to watch. I don't know how they never finished better than 10-6 (9-7 most years), but they always at least had a shot. Now I think they are at least 3 good players and several management changes away from being good. Still, there's hope!
