When should you NOT FOTL so you can enjoy the queue?

We're going to Universal for the first time. We will stay on site and will have FOTL. Are there any rides we should queue up for so that we don't miss part of the experience or are the lines just not worth it? We'll be there on the last Thurs and Fri of March.

I would skip the express pass at least one time on Dueling Dragons to see the entire que area. The rest of them aren't that exciting to look at in my opinion.

I definitely agree on the DD queue line. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that even if you HATE roller coasters, you should walk through this line. (During slow periods, at least.) You can bail out easily before the load-in area.

I also think the MIB and Spidey queues (in that order) are worth taking the time to soak in.

I love the Q for ET. It always brings tears to my eyes. Kelly and Robert named the others I would have named

When you do ET you will do the que no matter what, as they both share the same area.

Not really, you walk along the side, and not through the entire area.

I don't know how FOTL Access works I have never used it, but here are the queues at the parks I would say are worth looking at.

USF:

MIB, BTTF, & E.T.

IOA:

JP & DD.

That would be my personal picks.

I thought it was where the old AT&T employees got in through the store? I still see people come in from there, in fact Tuesday I seen people come in from there. That would bring you right to the loading area past the shows and tickets and stuff.

When you go up to the main entrance they put you in the first doorway and then they tell you to stay to the right. You will be in the same area as the regular guests but they have a seporate line for the Express Pass.

The Universal Express line takes a shortcut through the forest and takes you on a beeline to the ride load area. The regular queue winds through the entire forest area.

On ET there are 2 different load platform. They use one for each of the lines. Like Barry said there are 2 lines that go through the forest after you get your name card you will walk through a little part of the line all jumbled together and then about 50' down you will split into the express line. There is a host there that will take your pass or check room key.
