We were originally planning on going the last week in April 2003 (right after Easter), but now my husband's vacation schedule may have to change. So now I have to decide if we should go in March, early April, or early May. I know March and April are Spring Break months so I'm not sure about the crowds. How is the weather is May? What month would you choose and why. Thanks for all your help!!!!

I haven't been in May myself but my friend was there for mother's day this year. When she came back she said they ruled out May for future trips because it was too hot!!! They usually go every October. The weather is great in March and April!!! I would stay away at Easter time though.

Hi Lizzie84 - this is Lizzie64 (funny)

We went to WDW in May last year.( May 12-18) The weather was hot. We had low to mid 90's all week. However, I was told that was a heat wave and it usually isn't that hot. Usually around the 80's.

The parks were great. Hardly waited on line and if we did it was a short wait. We utilized FastPass for everything we could. I found it to be a great time to go.

We are going again next May. May 9 - May 18. Added some days to our trip this time.

Oh, and the pools are heated to 85, so it worked out great.

My vote would definately be May. April and March are warm, may can get hot, but the crowds are just the opposite. Also, you'll save a significant chunk of change if you go in May.

I was there this year in April the 2nd week after Easter. the crowds were very low and the weather was PERFECT!!!!
I think that the timing of Easter has alot to do with the crowds so i would check that out first. I have heard that the heat and humidity start in May.

I vote for May. As you see by my signature, I have been 3 times in May. My anniversary falls in that month and I just like to be in 12 different countries on my anniversary! ;) The weather is really comfortable at that time. Some rain, but not much and the hottest I remember is the high 80's. Lines aren't bad either, but DH and I still utilize FP. It just speeds things up. I like standing in some lines....Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Buzz Ranger Spin as the theming adds to the rides. Other times with rides with an outside entrance, I just want to get in where it's cool.
I vote for May....it's a GREAT month to be in Disney. Others are good too, but that's my favorite anyway.

My absolute 1st choice would be early May! The kids are back in school from spring break, the weather is great... warm with little humidity and precipitation, and the crowds are extremely manageable. May is my favorite time to go! Have a great time!

I went twice in early May. The parks are not crowded at all. Our first trip was hot but our second trip, the weather was not that great.:Pinkbounc
