When should I buy tickets?

I booked our rp rooms for August 2018. We are staying 5 nights. I called undercover tourist and the agent said I should wait a month to buy my Uo tix because the printed tix could expire before Aug 2018. She also said to wait and buy e tickets instead of pre printed tix because e tix expire 1 year from purchase, and preprinted have a sooner, unknown expiration. Seriously?. On the other hand, I kinda wanted the U.K. explorer tix as they are good for 14 days instead of only 5 days as the american ones are, and we will be there 6 days. After calculating exchange rates and shipping charge, the explorer tix from u.k. attractions website are about same price as 5 day E tix from undercover tourist. Uo prices are higher for both.
Also, was toying w upgrading tix to seasonal pass once there. What would that cost?
So, when and where should I buy tix? I have to say I am confused! Thanks!

First off, the tickets don't expire unless they are a special of some kind. I don't know what she is talking about at UT.

The UK park explorer tickets are an amazing deal and you can definitely upgrade.

The only expiry issue I know about right now is the buy two days, get two days ticket - that expires on May 17th, 2018 - I know because this is right in the middle of my planned vacation

But I believe that is only available to US and Canadian visitors.
