When you price a vacation do you check around with different travel agencies? Or do you stick with one particular agent to help you out?

Is it wrong to email several different agencies for a quote? Because eventually you're only going to book with one of them. I hate feeling like I am letting people down.

Back when we used a travel agency, I generally got the info myself and the travel agency we used to use.

I don't use an agency. I book all our vacations myself. There's tons of info online so you should be able to find the best deals yourself.

Why would it be wrong? It's you're money - you're allowed to shop around to try and get the best price and best service. :)

I think it is wrong to ask an agent a lot of questions about the trip and then not book with them.

As a Travel Agent, I would like to say THANK YOU, SAFETY MOM!!! It's nice to know that some people realize that we don't work for free! If you're gung-ho about booking your trip over the internet, then don't call me for advice and counseling. That's a service that I supply to my clients who are willing to trust me to handle their vacation bookings (and who appreciate that it's a service worth paying for!).

Vent over! Sorry! When it's something that you deal with on a daily basis it kind of hits a nerve! ;)

When I went to Hawaii 5yr ago, I went online thru American Airlines, no real problem....When we went back 3yr ago, I went thru Expedia..Big problems,
ie: not room prepaid for, not rental car we prepaid for, it took 2 days out of vacation to have this corrected & 3wk for credit to show up on CCard.
Trip last yr, I went to a local travel agency, cost min. amt more, but for the peace of mind, quality of service & knowing I had someone to direct contact if something was wrong was well....priceless.

Travel Agents Rock!!
:cheer2:

Thank you so much, LindyLouWho! It makes my day to know that people still appreciate the work we do! :goodvibes
