When parks are at capacity, what happens if you have FP and reservations?

It never really crossed my mind on our last trip, but what happens if the park is at capacity, and you have dining reservations or fast passes booked? Do you get to go in, or do they push everything back, or do you lose everything?

I believe having reservations gets you in the park for all but Phase 4, when no one gets in. Having FPs has no effect.

Dinning reservation yes as long as it isn't the last level of at capacity. Fast Pass is kind of a so sorry too bad go to another park situation. It hardly ever gets to the final phase at WDW but often gets there at DL.

Thanks! We will be going around Memorial Day, so didn't know if I should use that as one of our freebie days to stay at the resort and do other thing's around Orlando. Would love to see the fireworks though if it was a different show- is it anything different for Memorial Day? (They beat any festival i've ever been to but was just wondering if it was a different show- I'm thinking it isn't).

From what I have read, not experienced.

You can get into a park if you have dining reservations all the way up to a Phase 3 closure.

Phase 4, no one is getting in the parking lot.

I haven't seen anything that would allow you entry into the park because you have a FP+. Most of the reasons were Disney Resort Guests, Annual pass holders, or people with reservations or appointments.

All of these phases are hurting my head! Interesting that having memory maker makes a difference.

MM = planner and knows the drill. Shows up during a crowded season with no ticket or only one day = not a planner/little disney experience therefore Disney doesn't want to deal with you when it is super crowded. Probably not the real reason but it makes sense. Also if you already paid money you are either making it worth it for Disney or willing to pay more to get a decent day (meals, souviners, etc) so on site, dinning reservations, memory maker, etc.

Memorial Day is not a time when you would need to worry about closures; at least I've never heard of phase 4 closures occurring then.

Phase 4 at WDW is Christmas to New Years week and not even then. Phase 4 happens for maybe a couple hours and almost never then entire day.

We go over Memorial Day weekend almost every year and I've never seen any phase of closure during that weekend, so I don't think you have anything to worry about on that front.

This is so reassuring Is the firework show different on Memorial Day?

No, the fireworks show is the same as always. I've never noticed anything that would indicate it is a holiday. Maybe the flag retreat is different, but we are not often at that, so I wouldn't know for sure.

We've gone during 2 Easter weeks and never experienced closures. We've gone during two NYE weeks (week leading up to NYE) and there were temporary closings at MK a couple of times but it reopened after an hour or so.

I have never seen Epcot close.
