when ordering MYW tickets only online, what happens?

We are going on a big family trip next year. My Mom is paying for our park tickets and wants to give them out at Christmas this year. I'm in charge of ordering them, etc. If I order tickets via the WDW website, do they get mailed to me? Will they just ship me 12 generic tickets or will I need to enter each name for all 12 tickets? We are staying DVC via a timeshare exchange so we won't have a package deal. We'll pay for food and ticket OOP. I don't want to order the tickets now if they won't be mailed to me - we might as well type up a "certificate" of sorts to hand out to everyone for Christmas.

Also, after we check in at our resort, will we still be able to use one card for our room, purchases, park tickets, etc.? We've always stayed value with free dining and MYW tickets so I'm a bit confused as to how this will all pan out when we purchase things separately.

Thanks for any advice :)

VERY QUICKLY, go to Mousesavers.com and sign up for the monthly newsletter.

Tuesday, you will get a newsletter from that site, with a link to purchase discounted tickets from undercovertourist.com - that is a legitimate/authorized reseller of WDW tickets. Undercover Tourist will mail actual tickets to you. By the way, if you don't see the newsletter in your mailbox, check your spam folder. Some filters are more sensitive than others :).

Then go to the Theme Parks Activities & Strategies Board here and see the Everything You Wanted To Know About Tickets FAQ, written by a CM. That will tell you how to get your tickets added to your room keys after you check in.

I agree with her 100%

I already get the newsletter. I'm just SO hesitant to buy via anything other than WDW direct. I know, I know...I read all of the wonderful things and have no reason not to trust them. There are a few things stopping me:

1. The price (via the website, I don't have a newsletter to follow the link in) was only $15 cheaper than WDW website.
2. Purely convenience, but I really don't want to have to carry around a ticket, a room key, a credit card, etc. With 12 travelers, it seems like a lot to remember.
3. I'm spending my Mom's money. If anything ever went wrong with the order or the tickets, I would be completely at fault. That's a lot of weight to carry on my shoulders.

Our trip is still over 8 months away so we have time...except that Mom really wants to "wrap" the tickets for Christmas.

I'll continue reading and maybe the prices via the mousesavers newsletter will help me sway my decision.

Thanks for the suggestion - I just need to think about it more!

I'm guessing that tickets from UT with the Mousesavers newsletter would save you more than $15. Disney's site doesn't include tax in the prices you see whereas UT's do. There is also a shipping charge from Disney, I think (not sure) if you don't do will-call tickets, and UT's shipping is free.

There is really nothing to worry about using UT. They have great customer service and a wonderful reputation. If you have a problem, they will help you fix it.

You can pay $5 to have the tickets mailed to you (or at least thats what it was when i did a few months ago). if you don't, you just get a confirmation that you bring to any ticket counter/concierge at hotel and they exchange for your tix.

Well, like vicki c said, the newsletter discount is greater than the regular discount, plus it's all-inclusive.

Plus, you're buying twelve tickets. Not even counting the 6% tax, you're saving your mom $180! And truly, they're a legitimate company. They buy the tickets directly from Walt Disney World.

I've brought from UT and when we checked it, we handed them over and they put them on our key to the kingdom card. So we only carried one card.

I have never seen a single negative post about uct that hasn't ended up positive.

I do not worry fir even a second about them, and ewe have used them three times; once for WDW and twice for universal.

Even with just two or three tickets its worth it for us!

1. As others have mentioned, the UT price includes sales tax and the WDW price does not. I'm not sure how many days you're getting, but UT is probably going to save you more than $300. I think that's pretty significant.

2. UT will send you the exact same tickets that WDW will. You will still be able to add them to your KTTW card.

3. The risk of something going wrong with UT is the same as somethings going wrong if you buy them from WDW. In the very small chance that something does go wrong, it will be completely fixable.
