I know a lot of the sacramento metro has their break the first week of april... my district has one in february too

Sorry if this sounds harsh, it's not intended to, but this poll is meaningless, because it doesn't show where these spring breaks are. A small district in Orange County is going to have a far greater impact on crowds than a large district Kansas City.

All anyone needs to know about Spring break is that Arizona K-12 is on break the week of 3/16. The vast majority of California/Nevada Spring breaks are the first and second week of April. (The week before and after Easter this year). Excluding DLR Hotels (Which are very expensive year round) all area hotels reflect this. Week of 3/18 is expensive. Week of 3/25 is cheap. First two weeks of April are the most expensive. AP blackout dates are Friday 3/30-4/15. So...Crowds-smaller 3/1-15 Fairly large 3/16-25 Average/26-3/29 Very large 3/30-4/15.

Spring Break up here is March 17-23rd. I have no idea what the size of our district is.

Oregon is 3/26-30 and I personally know of at least 6 families going. Not a lot but if I know of 6 well....there will be a lot more!

Fine, but what is the population compared to southern california. Portland metro is what? about 3..3.5 million...Oregon about 5 million. California 37 million, and over 20 million in Southern California, and they are in school that week.

You should be fine. If you look at spring break patterns in areas closer to DL and hotel prices the crowds the week of 3/26 shouldn't be any different than the first two weeks of March. The first two weeks of April will be packed. Hotel prices those weeks are much higher and annual passports are restricted, while not restricted the week of 3/26).

I wasn't saying that Oregons population was competing with SoCal. I was simply stating the state is on spring break during a specific amount of time.

Thanks anyway.

I understand that..I think you are missing my point. Your spring break favors smaller crowds when compared to others.

FWIW I put down our local community college and CSU (combined they are a large district) for March 17 - 25th week, we are 500+ miles away in Nor Cal.

We went first week in June last year, during one of the grad weeks! The Thursday wasn't bad, but the Friday was when Star Tours opened. :/ I think if it's like the Thursday was, we can handle it. :) (Ours is the week of the 11th. I'm from Colorado.)

Spring Break started for many this evening. The offseason is over.

O/P; using this format really does not make any sense to me. What does make far more sense to me is simply stating when ones spring break is, and from what geographic location. I need to take an aspirin now.

Forgot to add; how is one supposed to know by reading this information, where these schools are located? When I ask someone when their spring break is, I don't ask them how large their district is, for I don't really care about that.
