When is your favorite time to visit Disney?

Alright! I just got back today and I'm already kinda thinking about what time of the year to go!

We were there Jan 3-Jan 9. And though I can't complain about the weather (i live in Illinois and missed those great -40 degree days here!) But the weather was super wishy washy. Kinda drove me and DBF nuts! Hahah

So I'm wondering, what's been your favorite time to visit Disney?! As far as nice weather, decent crowds? I know there's no PERFECT time to go. But what's been your favorite time to go?

We're fans of the water parks, so it's gotta be Summer!!

We get out of school in late May/early June, so heading down immediately after is ideal (before some of the Northern schools let out). When we were there in 2012, it only hit 90 degrees ONE time though we did have a bit of rain. And yeah, I know there's also the chance of much, much hotter weather then, but that's what works for us

Eeek! I wouldn't want to go in august. That sounds hot and humid!

Beginning of May sounds nice though. Or even in April after Easter? If it even falls in April?

We love end of April ( avoid Easter) and first few weeks of May!

We did August several years in a row. We had a great time! You have to do what you have to do! Make the best of it and make magical memories!

How are crowds (generally) and the weather in late April early May?

low crowds, weather is always better than at home, lol and we swim everyday!

If your talking best time crowd wise, I suggest end Sept. beginning of Oct. But for me, even with the extreme crowds, NYE celebrations and fireworks shows at MK and Epcot were awesome. Being in front of the castle surrounded by fireworks all around MK and dance parties was extremely fun. I don't mind crowds though so it didn't bother me much.

We were there the first week in May and loved it. The crowd levels were fairly low and the weather was perfect. It was cool in the morning and warmed up to about 85 each day with low humidity. It only rained the day we got there.We also go to enjoy the F&G festival. We are planning on going again in 2015 the same week.

The last few weeks of August. The crowds are a bit lighter and a bonus, like all summer months is that you don't need to bring a coat or any long sleeve shirts or pants.

I figure it is hot and humid in CT in the summer, why not be in Disney in the summer. Pretty much all the rides have a/c and we go early, take a mid day break and then go back at dinner time.

Plus for me, my kids aren't in school at that time so we can go a bit longer and have a few no park days to recoup.

Oh and the rooms are cheaper too.

I have gone in FEb twice and it was too cold for me. I mean I am going to FL, I want heat. We had to wear pants and coats at night. I have gone in April/the week before Easter and said I'd never go to Disney again during spring break u less someone else is paying for me to be there! I have gone in May band I thought it was too crowded then. I went the end of June but I was 3 1/2 and it was 1975 so I don't remember the weather. July was HOT and super crowded. Early August is a bit more crowded then later August so I prefer the later part.

I think you just have to try out a few options to see what works best for you. The first few times I took my dh, then boyfriend we went in feb and April. I finally convince him after we got married and had a child to go in the summer. He was dreading it already comparing if the heat but now he likes the summer.
