When is your 2014 Spring Break?

Our kids go to a private school and their spring break is always the first, full week of April. Luckily, in 2014, Easter is late so we would fall outside of premiere season. We're actually planning an October trip in 2014, though. There is a Christian Educator's Association (CEA) convention in late October so the kids are off on Thursday and Friday. We're planning on letting them miss school the preceding Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and heading down to the World. The ONLY reason we're doing this is because it is the week after my 40th birthday. I *really* wanted to celebrate my actual birthday (the 16th) at my happy place, but I can wait a week so that the kids don't have to miss a full week of school.

Who knows...plans might change and we may still go in April...or early June...it's all the same season next year.

Just curious what you think of the Spring Break crowds since you have been there for the past 5 years. It will be our first trip there and we are a bit concerned about the crowds. Sounds like waking up at the crack of dawn is the best idea then taking an afternoon nap and hitting the parks again in the evening. What do you think?

Me too! Our daughters have that same week off. We were going to try it, but have recently changed our mind and planning on January instead. Of course, we could still change our mind back too.....

Your dates are for Boston, but most of RI will have that week off including the Friday before due to Good Friday.

The April 12th dates should include NY, not just NJ.

We are in Orange County NY and that's the week of our spring break.

If you see a spring break listed on the poll, I just took them from folks that had already written when theirs was and where they were from. If you are questioning the area, check page 1 since those were the earliest answers.

I was the one who said my kids have a break in March. I did not say that they are in public school. It is their college break. My younger child will have the break at Easter time. I llive in NY too, but not LI - we-are upstate near Canada.

Thanks everyone for all your input and voting. Looks like the week before and after Easter are the most popular followed by our week of break (March 24-28). Hopefully it won't be too crowded for our first ever visit!

I posted March 17 to 21 as that is when the University I work at is on Spring break here in Worcester MA. Most of New England will be at WDW later in April, however. DH and I will be rotating between SSR, Bonnet Creek, and AKV -- Jambo. I know it's a lot of moves, but got a phone call from the Bonnet Creek people I couldn't resist And I've always wanted to try out their lazy river

Easter Sunday is 4/20.

Here in Las Vegas, the public schools have a floating week of the week prior to Easter. In 2014 that will mean out on the 12th of April and back in on 21st of April.

Most of Minnesota's public schools are the week of March 10-16. NOT spring here, but gives a break from winter if we can go to WDW!
