When is the least expensive time to go as far as hotel rates. We were thinking March or October.

March is peak time - pretty expensive (only holiday time is more). If you go in the beginning of October, you can still get in during value season. Whatever season it is when you check in is the rate you'll be charged for the whole trip. Also, there are usually better discounts offered in October versus March.

Is peak season really that busy? We went for one day to magic kingdom back in 1994, the second week of March. It did not seem to bad. But we are use to going in value season now.
Thinking of going March 30th-April 5th this year.
